Tele2 raises FY outlook again, as mobile service revenue grows 9% in Q3

(Telecompaper) Tele2 has upgraded its outlook for the full year, after a strong quarter of growth in the mobile market in Q3. It now expects mobile service revenue to grow in the high single digits this year, compared to its earlier forecast for a mid single-digit increase. In Q3, mobile service revenue was up 9 percent to SEK 3.927 billion, and in the first nine months of the year, service revenue grew 15 percent.

The successful applicant will work at the core of meteorological satellite operations in Europe as MTG Schedule Support service provider for Telespazio VEGA and support the MTG programme at EUMETSAT in developing and maintaining their schedule. In particular, this will focus on the integration, validation and verification of the system. ResponsibilitiesDuties Responsibilities and tasks to Support to System Management Maintain a detailed development logic and schedule of the MTG Programme, in particular for the integration, validation and verification of the system Track activities progress against agreed development plans and schedule and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with the elaboration of proposals to reduce the impact of any deviation Provide once per month a schedule summary report for the Schedule Control Board on development progress against the development schedule and the status of interactions Identify interactions among subsystems and partnerscontractors and associate them with main development milestones and work breakdown structure. Generate and analyse schedule performance indicators, milestone trend charts Responsibilities and Tasks to Support the Maintenance and Management of the MTG planning schedule Establish, monitor, maintain and control the MTG Programme planning and schedules, based on inputs from the programme technical teams i.e. System, Ground Segment, Space Segment, including activities, inputs outputs. The tasks extend to include planning and monitoring of the associated resources Improve and maintain multilayered programme planning files and schedules, based on Level 0 to Level 4 planning inputs. Monitor and control programme planning and schedules, including maintenance of and controlled changes to the schedule baseline in view of progress made and scope changes agreed Generate periodic scheduling status reports, including trend analysis of scheduling performance indicators Prepare and contribute to monthly programme meetings on planning and schedule management, monitoring and control Assist programme team leaders in establishing, monitoring and controlling individual plans and schedules as well as related programme resources Followup subsystem developments and participate in necessary meetings and reviews QualificationsExperience University degree or similar in engineering or management, together with several years of working experience in the aera of project planning, scheduling, monitoring or control. Essential Skills Demonstrated experience in large system developments, ideally in the space andor ground segment. Extensive experience in using Microsoft Project and knowledge of project management standards e.g. ECSS. Ability to draft concise management reports and executive level presentations. Fluency in the English language. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in addition to team working skills. Desirable Skills Extensive experience using the Microsoft Office suite. Experience working in space programmes would be an asset. TIM launches first Italian commercial NB-IoT service in 5,000 localities

(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia (TIM) has announced the imminent launch of a Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) service in 5,000 localities all over Italy, equivalent to 75 percent of its network. The company said it will be the first Italian operator to offer the commercial IoT service based on LTE technology at the end of October, with the roll-out of narrowband technology set to be completed by January.
