Thorn SDS is seeking a Ground and Ops Security Engineer looking to expand and implement their skills in a multicultural environment, based in the Netherlands. The key candidate shall be responsible for the guidance and monitoring of the implementation of System Security Requirements along with the follow up implementation of these requirements within the Segment design down to element level. Candidates shall provide support to the Mission Security Engineering Board and the Security Accreditation Panel as well as conducting various other security related tasks. Candidates require a university degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline along with experience in each of the following areas Security risk analysis Security architecture Penetration testing activities Experience in dealing with security components and environments would be considered advantageous. All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the Netherlands and have a good working knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written. Excellent relocation package will be provided if required.

As members of the Galileo Ground Operations Team reporting to Airbus GSOps Operations Manager OM, the Ground SegmentNetwork Controllers NETCON will undertake system operations tasks and duties to operate the Galileo ground segment as required to maintain the high availability of the signals broadcast by the Galileo satellites. The role of NETCON is an onshift position, with a rota to provide 247 coverage of the operational position. The NETCON will Monitor the systems which indicate the health and status of the Galileo ground control and communications network elements Execute defined procedures to manage the Galileo networks and associated ground control elements, in accordance with the scheduled operations plan, ensuring that safety criteria are respected at all times Identify anomalies on the network and ground systems, and escalate accordingly Take corrective action as necessary, applying the approved contingency procedures Prepare ground segment and network operations reports for offline evaluation and analysis Work with the Engineering Support Team for ground segment corrections or improvements Interface with other internal and external teams, in particular with the operations team active at the alternate Galileo Control Centre Please note that work locations are at the Galileo Control Centres in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany or in Fucino, Italy.
