Our client is a global designer and manufacturer of space hardware and systems. They are world leaders in the production of spacequalified passive microwave equipment and specialized electronics. In addition, they provide microsatellite mission solutions ranging from mission concept studies to launch and operations. We are seeking a Test Team Leader to be an integral member of the team, responsible for the allocation of test work within the MAIT manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test team. You will also undertake the testing, fault finding, and design improvement of flight hardware conforming to spaceflight approved formal test procedures. This is a permanent position starting in March 2018. Responsibilities Attend daily meetings working proactively with Assembly dept. Confirm the daily targets are being met, identify constraints, and allocate owners to actions to resolve any identified issues Liaise with MAIT Managerplanning to assist with schedule input and identify potential resource conflicts Identify resources to meet test requirements. Undertake the tuning and testing of all company products Agree a standard for acceptable levels of housekeeping with the MAIT manager and ensure that the dept is kept to this standard Monitor data integrity and to initiate corrective actions were necessary Assess and conduct reviews in line with Company Procedures Work with test team members to maintain Quality levels Review test plans and support test engineering Review test results for data integrity and content in line with company procedures Create and maintain a detailed skills matrix and training plan, ensuring that all key operations within the dept have sufficient levels of trained resource to meet the production schedule Provide direction to members of the test team. Compliance to the companys Quality Management System QMS Compliance to the companys Health and safety Policy Skills HNCHND qualification in electricalelectronic engineering or equivalent experience A broad base radio frequency and electronics knowledge and experience Familiarity with a range of tune and test techniques including thermal, vacuum, high power, and EMC testing Ideally you will come from an aerospacetelecoms background Previous experience of leading a team or project would be highly advantageous

Do you have what it takes to manage a small team processing Level 0Level 1 data gathered by our satellites? You will have extensive knowledge of instrument data processing, including Image Navigation and Registration INR, radiometric correction and calibration algorithms, gained in an operational Space environment. You will manage a small team ensuring that our data processing operations are coordinated to meet our current and future needs. You need to be comfortable validating complex data and using UNIXLINUX in a fast paced environment. As you will be involved in producing and updating procedures and guidance, you need to be able to write concise and focused technical reports. Working with our partners, you will ensure that routine operations run to schedule and all anomalies are investigated and resolved. As Deputy to the Operations Manager, you will be involved in the strategic planning and review of our programme, along with contributing to future Meteosat programmes and introducing new services, as appropriate. With a university degree in a relevant discipline, your experience will include routine operations, operations preparation in a satellite development project, or spacecraft assembly integration and testing. With knowledge of systems related to satellite control facilities and simulators, you will use your understanding of system engineering standards relevant to space operational systems to enhance our programmes. Position Reference 135 This position is based in Network Operations Centre NOC, responsible for the provision of ESA Ground Facilities Operations Services, which includes the monitoring and control of ESAs Tracking Station Network ESTRACK as well as the underlying Mission Operations Infrastructure Information Technology MOIIT and Operations Control Centres OCC.
