Senior Manager, Business Development TheSenior Manager, Business Development will be reporting to the Director, Business Development to support capturing new work by serving as the main customer interface for select international accounts. The candidate will be responsible for select international accounts and will be required to understand the different customer organizations build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the customer organization at both the management and technical level coordinate all MDA interactions with the customer deliver MDA capabilities, culture and heritage to customers and partners at meetings, conferences, workshops, trade shows and customer sites monitor customer budgets, past, current and future programs and upcoming RFPs identify key customer issues, winning strategies and recommended target prices interact with in country Canadian Government organizations Canadian Embassy, EDC The candidate will participate in the creation of market and account strategies development of marketing material maintaining of Business Development customer and opportunity database presentation of well articulated account plans and pursuit plans to the MDA senior management team The candidate must have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and a customer driven focus and able to operate in uncertain and changing business environments. Flexible and able to travel. An engineering degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the space field and preferably in emerging markets. Systems and payload engineering technical knowledge is an asset. An MBA or courses in strategy, marketing or international business would be a plus.
