EUMETSAT is the European satellite agency for monitoring weather and climate. Competence Area Manager, Data Processing Systems and Applications REF. VN1504 Leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers within our System Engineering and Projects Division, you will manage industrial contracts to maintain and continuously evolve all operational ground segment data processing systems and applications. Equally importantly, you will coordinate the data processing engineering support for all our development programmes, involving participation in ground system and overall system level development. Your remit will span the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualisation through tradeoffs, feasibility analysis, requirements definition, architectural and detailed design and production followup to completion of commissioning, and you will define and implement a longterm engineering and maintenance approach to maximise availability whilst controlling costs. Highly experienced in engineering or maintaining large scale software systems in an operational, highly available environment, you will ideally bring exposure to spacebased ground segment data processing production systems. Naturally, you will be familiar with the full system development lifecycle and all aspects of contract management, and you will possess a sound background in meteorological andor earth observation systems, including processes and standards such as ECSS. At the same time, you should be familiar with tools such as DOORS, skilled in leading and developing teams and capable of making persuasive presentations. Finally, you must be able to work effectively in English and have a working knowledge of French. Supply Chain Manager

Our client is a space sector specialist based in Northern Ireland. On behalf of this Client we are recruiting a Supply Chain Manager. We are presently seeking experienced Supply Chain or procurement engineer from the space industry. This role is to be working on a 5 kW Thruster project for the space industry. This role is a long term contract position and is due to start early April with the option to be extended. This role also has the possibility to become permanent for the right candidate. This Role Understanding and daily application of. Monitoring data management to keep accurate product, contract, pricing and invoicing information. Working closely with suppliers and customers to improve operations and reduce cost. Communicating needs and objectives to managers with key personnel in procurement. Negotiating contracts to reduce costs and achieve maximum efficiency. Providing accurate routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated. Accurately calculating total supply chain costs in relation to proposed new projects. Extensive knowledge of coordinating all of the entities involved in a supply chain. Knowledge of managing returns and rejections professionally and promptly with suppliers. Extensive experience in the strategic planning and transportation of products. Experience of liaising with forwarders and overseas companies to arrange collections. Able to negotiating rates with local contractors and also international companies. Planning of procurement, production, inventory control, logistics and distribution. Experience in Process improvement. Experience in operational logistics management and vendor management. Carrying out the initial and also ongoing assessment of the supply chain. Involved in the hiring, training, supervising and mentoring of supply chain staff. The Person Experience of developing and implementing supply chain strategies within the space industry and must have worked in the space sector for at least five years in supply chain management. Ability to work in cross functional teams. Managing recognised space industry supply chains. Ability to manage several projects and tasks at once. Good at organising and managing people. A clear ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.

Project Manager Ariane 6 Composite Booster Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a German organization operating space flight missions and a leading European operations institution for human space flight. You will be working onsite at the organizations research facility in Augsburg which is involved in the development and production of components made of carbonfibre reinforced composites. As Project Manager for the Ariane 6 Composite Booster, you will have the following responsibilities Managing the institutes contribution to the development of the production technology and quality management tools for the Ariane 6 Composite Booster Preparation of specifications for subcontractors and suppliers Bid management documents, procedures, awarding etc Management of component suppliers Financial controlling Interfacing with MT Aerospace Augsburg Managing the transfer of results to industrial production Preparation of grant applications, project plans and reports. In support of a number of imminent contracts our client is currently in the process of recruiting for the position of Product Assurance manager to establish and ensure the application compliant Product Assurance policies. This role will suit a Product Assurance Manager who is looking for either a long term contract or a permanent position. This UK based operation offers a wide range of InSpace Propulsion solutions to the European Space Community. This not only covers the heritage and extensively flight proven products of our parent company but also Research Development including the establishment of an extensive InSpace environmental test capability. Our client offers offering covers monopropellant, electric propulsion thrusters and propulsion systems. For this specific requirement we are keen to recruit an individual with considerable experience in developing, maintaining and applying PA policies and practices in line with ECSS standards, as well as having handson flight programme PA Safety management expertise. The role will involve ensuring PA, Quality and Safety requirements are fulfilled both internally and with subcontract organisations. Experience in working in the Aerospace environment is essential, with experience in dealing with Space Sector a distinct advantage. This role will require considerable management and coordination of diverse teams therefore demonstrated experience in this environment will be essential.
