Spun yarn prices have fallen across the board in the past week in India, with all categories of products being affected by the lower fiber prices and the weakness in demand. Cotton yarn exports could rebound, however, over a return to more competitive prices on the international market. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices, and offering the latest trends of spinners' margins.
