Operating rates had previously been cut, now allowing to raise yarn prices. Cotton yarn prices could now drop further in China, where cotton fiber prices are eventually declining and demand is depressed from downward processors. Stagnating clothing sales at retail and falling apparel exports will force many spinning mills to shut down until after lunar year holidays.
