Cotton yarn prices have continued rising in the last week in India, whereas cotton fiber prices have stayed firm at their high levels. Profit margins are apparently recovering at spinning mills after yarn prices have significantly risen in the last six weeks amid a more stable cotton market. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Spun yarn prices have stayed more stable in the last week in China with 100% viscose prices further falling, however, over a sharp decline of VSF prices in the last two weeks. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
