Senior Manager, Cyber Security Operations Luxembourg Betzdorf ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Cyber Security Operations function has SESwide responsibility for cybersecurity monitoring, cybersecurity incident response and vulnerability and configuration compliance management. The job holder is responsible for leading, developing and maturing SES Cyber Security Operations function and is responsible for the delivery of its services to internal and external customers. The incumbent defines the cybersecurity operations strategy to continuously extend the service portfolio, improve service levels, mature delivery processes and the overall efficiency and capabilities of the function. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULTS AREAS Supervise, coordinate and develop the cybersecurity operations function and supporting technical infrastructure for all SES entities to ensure efficient and effective cybersecurity monitoring, incident response and vulnerability as well as configuration compliance management Plan, develop, manage and continually improve processes and procedures required for the cybersecurity operations function Ensure SES security incident response readiness by establishing and continuously improving SES security incident response framework and training the incident response team Manage security incidents in accordance with the incident response policy and process and direct incident response teams to ensure a coordinated, timely and effective response to security incidents Establish a threat intelligence program and produces actionable, relevant strategic and tactical threat intelligence from different relevant sources in order to Leverage threat intelligence information in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of cyber security operations Disseminate synthesized intelligence information to SES stakeholders, including senior management and relevant engineering and operations groups Inform the information security management and information security engineering functions to ensure that information security management framework and security infrastructure are aligned with relevant threats Perform strategic and tactical planning for SES cyber security operations functions Define and maintain relevant KPIs for the security operations function and its services to facilitate management reporting and continuous improvement Identify needs, estimate costs, and justify request priorities for budgetary purposes Evaluate new and emerging technologies for introduction andor integration into the cybersecurity operation functions Manage a team of security engineers andor analysts responsible for cybersecurity incident response, cybersecurity monitoring, cybersecurity vulnerability assessment and configuration compliance Manage the team to strengthen, enable and grow talent through coaching, continuous feedback and technical mentoring Identify, cultivate and grow technical leaders Prepare a portfolio for providing cybersecurity operations services for the SES customers, if required Travel and oncall QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Masters degree in computer science or equivalent Minimum eight years of relevant professional experience in cyber security monitoring, incident response, computer forensics, malware analysis, vulnerability management and threat intelligence Strong knowledge of and experience in running cyber security operations teams Excellent understanding of the latest tactics, tools and techniques used by modern threat actors as well as effective prevention and detection strategies Indepth cloud security knowledge O365, Azure, system security knowledge multiple operating systems, including Windows platforms, and Linux and application security knowledge, including a clear understanding of their vulnerabilities, exploits and how to secure them Knowledge of and experience with security technologies, such as EDR, Antivirus, Network and Host Intrusion Detection Systems, Web ProxyContent Filtering, Authentication technologies, Security Information and Event Management systems and SOAR solutions Broad and indepth knowledge in cyber security knowledge of the satellite industry is considered as a plus Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset For our activities at EUMETSAT, we are currently seeking to employ highly motivated and enthusiastic Spacecraft Operations Preparation Engineer to work in an exciting innovative international environment. We are looking for Senior and Junior Spacecraft Operations Preparation Engineers with experience in the field of System or Spacecraft Operations either during routine or operations preparation of complex space systems. In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in experience in a relevant discipline, the person shall have a wellbalanced and distributed experience in the following Mandatory Skills Experience of Spacecraft Operations and or Operation Preparation preferably on Low Earth Orbit LEO, with responsibility for one or more platform subsystems or instruments during operational validation, LEOP, commissioning or routine operations phases Experience in Satellite Databases. In particular, this shall include experience in the processes involved in developing and validating an operation database from a reference database delivered by the satellite manufacturer, and also experience in the use of scripting and SQL to implement changes and checks as efficiently and reliably as possible. Experience with OBSW maintenance activities, in particular memory image maintenance and Configuration Management CM processes for both ground images and onboard memory management Experience in definition, development and validation of operations for the development of satellite ground segment facilities such as monitor and control, mission planning, onboard software management, ground stations monitoring. Experience as simulation officer, satellite simulator management, coordination of rehearsals and team readiness assessment for launch. Experience of SCOS2000 mission control systems and use of the APEX operations procedures preparation and execution tool Experience in the full cycle of development of application software for satellite simulators, following formal software engineering processes. This includes system requirement analysis, software requirement engineering, software design and implementation reflecting maintenance activities as well as new applications definition. Experience in satellite performance monitoring and reporting aspects including anomaly analysis and solving in liaison with satellite industry, procedure change control and configuration management processes Experience in requirementsbased design, development and verification process following the ECSS standards and using DOORS. Furthermore, it would be a distinct advantage for the team to have experience with some of the following Proven experience in the phases of routine and commissioning. Specification of space system and operational concepts, facility requirements Familiarity with OnBoard Control Procedure concepts Familiarity with the ECSS Packet Utilisation Standard, customisation and usage Familiarity with system change control and configuration management procedures Data analysis software packages and programmingscripting skills in other coding languages such as Python Java Perl etc. Use of VBA for development of adhoc tools in MS Office applications.
