Position Reference 730 We are currently looking for a Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer to work at our clients premises in the city of Darmstadt, Germany. The key person will be part of the ESOC Flight Dynamics division, which provides Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics operations support to ESA and third party missions during all mission phases. The Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer will work to develop software tools in the frame of the CAP project, which involves a modernisation of tools used by mission analysts based on new flight dynamics infrastructure software, GODOT. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Mission Analysis Tools Development, developing mission analysis applications mainly in Python and C using GODOT C infrastructure. Navigation analysis Covariance and Guidance. Local and Global Optimisation applications. Analysis tools to support mission analysis work. Contributions to the flight dynamics infrastructure software. General Mission Analysis engineering activities. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Strong mathematical background. Strong background in modern software development Python, C. Experience in Gitlab, familiarity with DevOps techniques such as continuous integration and testing, Docker containers. Experience in Mission Analysis Tools Development local and global optimisation techniques and algorithms, covariance and MonteCarlo analysis, environmental models, numerical integration techniques Knowledge about operational and ground segment aspect in the missionarchitecture design. Ability to work in a team as well as independently. Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken. The following skills would be highly desirable Experienceknowledge of mission analysis.
