China to launch final satellites for own Beidou GPS system by June

(Telecompaper) China said it will be launching the final two satellites for its Beidou satellite-based positioning system by June, the Nikkei reported, citing a Beidou spokesperson. The move will complete the 35-satellite network and enable China to decouple itself from the US-owned Global Positioning System and its 30 satellites. The move is in line with China's goal to rely less on the US for both its telecommunications and its military and to build an ecosystem independent of the GPS that would be open to Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. Over 70 percent of Chinese smartphones are already compatible with Beidou, which will also play a role in 5G.

Votre mission au CNES Vous tes responsable de la prparation et de la conduite des oprations des satellites en phase dexploitation jusqu leur retrait de service. Vous ralisez le suivi technologique des satellites. Lors dalas satellite en orbite, vous participez aux investigations menes dans le cadre de groupes dexpertise. Pour les satellites en dveloppement, vous participez la dfinition, la cration et la qualification des procdures oprationnelles utilises ds le lancement et durant toute la vie du satellite. A lissue de ces phases, vous conduisez les oprations de mise poste, de recette en vol puis de maintien poste. Pour mener bien ces activits, vous serez en relation avec de nombreux experts du domaine spatial tant au CNES, chez nos partenaires internationaux NASA, ESA, que dans le monde industriel. Dans un second temps, vous serez responsable du pilotage technique de contrats industriels de maintien en conditions oprationnelles de soussystmes des satellites. Compte tenu des contraintes lies aux oprations spatiales Support 2424, 77J et astreinte, vous aurez travailler ponctuellement en horaires dcals. Profil de candidat recherch Ingnieur grande cole vocation arospatiale ou quivalent, vous avez acquis des connaissances en architecture des satellites plateforme, chaines fonctionnelles, en contrle dattitude et dorbite etou en commandecontrle de satellites, vous permettant dapprhender ces oprations satellite. Une premire exprience dans les oprations satellite ou dans le domaine SCAO ou commandecontrle serait apprci. Un trs bon niveau danglais est requis pour changer avec vos diffrents interlocuteurs Rigoureux, mthodique, curieux et cratif, vous faites preuve dun bon esprit danalyse et de synthse. Autonome, Vous savez prendre des initiatives, tre force de proposition et travailler en quipe afin de mener bien les missions qui vous sont confies.
