General tasks to be performed Support and inspection of AIT activities Regular control of product documentation Guidance of the AIT team to perform product related documentation tasks Performance of MIPs, KIPs and IPs Documentation of inspection reports and QA documents To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Professional education in Electrical Engineering, Space Technology, Information Technology or comparable qualification. Several years of experience in the performance of inspections, preferably in the aerospace or space industry. Welldeveloped communication skills and accustomed to work in teams. High level of responsabilities and ability to take decisions with consideration of customer requirements and opinions. Experience in materials logistics and knowledge of metrology is a plus. Preferably knowledge of NCTS NonConformance Tracking System and ideally certified for inspections according to ECSSQST08C, ST026C, ST028C or IPC. Fluency in spoken and written English. Sense of responsibility and an effective way of working. Active Personal Security Clearance or eligiable to get it quickly. A vacancy for a Systems Engineer on very high throughput communication satellites mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. You will join the Telecom Systems department and will be part of the BroadbandBroadcast team where you will contribute to the preparation of new designs in the field of future high throughput satellite systems while being involved in the associated RD and engineering activities. As a system engineer, you will perform mission analyses in the field of high throughput satellite communications to derive system requirements allowing to define innovative architectures and assess their performances mainly capacity and availability through the use of simulation software. You will perform analyses from transmission, network and function management point of view, amongst others. You will be involved in ongoing studies. As needed by the projects or studies, you will be in charge of performing or coordinating the telecommunication system activities with the experts from other teams of the telecommunication BU payload, platform, etc. and external partners. You will be in charge of consolidating the system feasibility, assessing the solution performances and defining the specifications of its main building blocks. Likewise, you will be responsible for preparing the associated documentation and you will take part in technical reviews with the customer. Moreover, you will be in charge to business of the high throughput systems team by suggesting innovative subjects for future studies and contributing to the preparation of proposals in this field. Typical RD and innovation funding framework includes European studies for ESA ARTES, TRP, etc. and the European Commission Horizon 2020 as well as national studies for instance with CNES. As a result, you will participate in the negotiation phase of these proposals with the customer and partners. This position will require some business trips one to two days, once every two months within Europe, and, as such, you must be able to travel accordingly. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following competencies Masters degree in telecommunications, electronics or signal processing or equivalent, ideally including satellite systems. first experience in high throughput satellite communication systems engineering, in particular those systems implementing multibeam solutions satellite segment and grounduser segments, Knowledge in some or all of the following domains o Telecom system layers, especially on physical layer, o Signal processing and digital communications, o Link budget, satellite system analysis CNI, capacity, availability, o Transmission aspects including knowledge of DVBS2X and DVBRCS2 standards and their revisions. A sense of innovation, Team player, Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple interfaces, Autonomy and willingness to take initiatives, Rigorous approach to prepare deliverables, An advanced level of English and an intermediate level of French.
