ALTRAN Space Division is looking for support in Space System Engineer Assembly, Integration and Testing of satellites, for its AIT team in Germany. Role activities Electrical or Mechanical experience in handling of Spacecrafts at Systems andor Subsystem level Experience with Mock up, Structural, Engineering, Proto Flight andor Flight Models Integration of core modules and systems into platform propulsion, power, thermal Execution of electricalmechanicals tests on platform and satellite level interface tests, functional tests, performance tests AOCS, Power, TTR, Onboard Data Handling OBDH as well as support for payload testing Perform and support the environmental tests at satellite level vibration, acoustic, alignment, RF, Thermal Vacuum, Leak test, EMC Preparation of test procedures Documentation of tests, preparation of test reports Test preparation of hardware configuration of item under test Non Conformances Reports using knowledge of Quality standards Knowledge Proficiency in utilization of ECSS Space Standards Qualifications needed Degree in electricalmechanical engineering, space technology Substantiated knowledge in one or more of the following areas attitude control AOCS, power subsystems, TTR, OBDH, Space systems engineering Experience in use of EGSE and electrical measurement tools At least two years of experience in testing on satellite or subsystem level Welldeveloped communication skills, used to work in a team Sense of responsibility and an effective way of working Fluent in written and spoken English If you comply with the qualifications and you are interested to have a career within our Space Team, contact us! Image processing system engineer for small satellites

In charge of developing a realtime pose estimation software system to process imagery i.e., computer vision captured by a small satellite. Design algorithms for position and attitude estimation based on imagery taken by a small satellite in Earth orbit. Involves skill such as feature extraction and model matching. Generate prototypes inhouse, as well as coordination with external software developers vendors. Conduct groundbased verification and validation on the entire image processing system including optical sensors and processing hardware. Generate test plan and conduct procurement as necessary. Supervise any tests at external sites. Manage interface between image processing system and other satellite onboard subsystems, such as the attitude and orbit control system AOCS and command and data handling CDH. Manage interface between image processing system and the onground mission control system. Required Research PhD and above or workplace experience in any of the following computer vision SLAM machine learning object and feature recognition motion and pose estimation Able to prototype algorithms listed above C, Python, MATLAB, etc. Intermediate English communication abilities TOEIC 700. Able to understand the customer and support technical discussions in English. Preferred Research PhD and above or workplace experience in autonomous mechatronic systems autonomous robots, selfdriving cars, drones, etc. that take optical sensor inputs. Advanced English communication abilities TOEIC 800. Able to lead technical discussions and negotiations in English.
