Main responsibilities Your tasks will be providing first level support to users, preparing user manuals online help, developing and delivering training to all EUMETSAT employees and take active part in Information Management related projects. The detailed tasks will consist of Provide first level support to users on technical and process issues for document and information management systems and processes, including handson trouble shooting and coaching Prepare user manuals or online help and keep them up to date in line with the evolutions of the systems Develop and enhance training for document and information management systems and processes and deliver the training to end users. This includes presentations, hands on workshops, computer based training, etc. Support development projects and enhancements to existing systems in close cooperation with end users and implementation teams Support end user requirement specification phases in user interaction design including the design of navigation and search, information architecture, layout and taxonomies Support the customer acceptance and rollout phases of new or enhanced systems, including preparing user manuals and online help, and developing and delivering training to users Contribute to project planning and reporting. Document tasks and deliverables according to EUMETSAT working practices. In addition, you will provide support to Support the improvement and documentation of business processes inside ICT Document tasks and deliverables according to EUMETSAT working practices. Ideal candidate Essentials In addition to having a university degree in a relevant discipline, you should have as a prerequisite Extensive experience in providing first level support to end users on complex information management systems and effectively working towards solutions together with users to solve their issues Extensive experience in developing and delivering training on complex information management systems to technical and nontechnical users Experience in developing user manuals and or web based online help Experience in user interaction design and developing information architecture, search and navigation, taxonomies Experience from support, training or technical implementation of information management systems based on Oracle WebCenter Content Good knowledge of information management concepts, principles and related processes Very good personal communication skills oral and written to be able to effectively interact with users, team members and other teams Highly selfmotivated with a high level of autonomy in working arrangements and the ability to apply initiative and creativity in the execution of tasks Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to learn, able to work as part of a team and displaying a strong customeroriented approach to interact with EUMETSAT personnel. The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. The working language for the tasks and responsibilities is English therefore you must be fluent in this language. A working knowledge of French would be an advantage, but not essential. One of our space clients in Germany is looking for an MTG User Preparation Consultancy Support. The Consultant shall support the MTG user preparation activities through coordination of the MTG User Preparation Project. Additionally, they will support some of the user engagement activities identified in this Project. The consultant will be part of the User Support Team and will work with experts across and partners organisations. The submission deadline for applicants is 11th January 2015. Tasks Maintain the MTG User Preparation Project plan and associated documentation and schedule related activities. Collect and collate project inputs from all internal stakeholders. Arrange and attend regular MTG User Preparation Project team meetings and prepare meeting reports as required. Record and monitor any open actions associated with the MTG User Preparation Project. Prepare inputs to management reports on the status of the MTG User Preparation Project. Keep abreast of guidelines issued by the WMO regarding user readiness activities for next generation satellites and prepare inputs and followup actions as required. Support external coordination and user engagement activities for MTG user preparation. Support the Training Team with updated information on the status of the MTG User Preparation Project for inclusion in training events. Qualifications University degree in relevant discipline, preferably in remote sensing, meteorology or environmental sciences. Experience Proven experience in project coordination or a project management role. Experience in remote sensing related to meteorological observation needs. Experience in preparing and maintaining information for users. Experience in using project planning tools like MS Project or similar. Experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries. At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in relevant disciplines. Previous experience supporting user preparation activities in the Earth Observation arena. Any work with the meteorological user community, in particular national weather services. Fluency in English is mandatory and a working knowledge of French would be a significant advantage.
