Senior Manager, Quality Assurance United States Manassas, Virginia ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The position is responsible for leading and developing Quality Assurance Performance QA initiatives across Global Services and acts as an enabler for customer satisfaction. The incumbent will be responsible for evaluation of Quality related aspects of technical vendors, driving systemic issues related to products and ensuring specifications as agreed by the PDE are meet by vendors. Heshe will be implementing industry standard Quality best practices. The position is responsible for setting up, maintaining and continuously improving an Occupational Health Safety System in line with local national legislations as well as along industry standards. Heshe will oversee the setup and maintain ISO 9001 and ITIL standards in Global Services GS and drive improvement on cross functional processes involving GS. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Operational Quality Assurance Develop the framework for operational QA, drive other functions such as implementation, engineering, NOC staging integration to formulate their processes in alignment to the framework, audit the organization processes and general QA Practices Responsible for the weekly tracking and assessment of quality issues impacting the customers, and drive the resolution with various stakeholders Internal Vendors Drive problem management for end to end delivery and support service improvement Establish, track and report quality assurance metrics to inform and improve operations Establish and improve quality and reliability standards by studying the customer issues and customer requirements with other management of other practices organization Support project and service teams on quality assurance and warranty obligations Create and maintain awareness of the GS team on QA relevant matters by preparing and providing training information sessions Drive and coordinate all the activities and resources to maintain the company ISO 9001 certification, ensuring Documentation Management System DMS and all relevant document templates to allow the organization to follow its business and objectives Manage within the team Configuration and Documentation Management CADM needs and obligations of the organization Support the evaluation and possibly the implementation of other quality certification standards AQAP, ECSS. Vendor Quality Assurance Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures in line with company objectives and requirements Track and manage nonconformances reports NCRs and anomalies with the vendor for closure Vendor management for closure of problem management tickets Handle either by supporting or managing all contractual warranty obligations Enforce quality assessment through KPIs and SLAs in SES Vendor Management as an integral part of every levels of product development general availability Own Quality Assurance piece during vendor selection specification listing, proposal evaluation and rating, specifying quality assurance standards guidelines towards manufacturing and engineering requirements, and devising testing methods and procedures for QA. Occupational Health and Safety OHS Set up, maintain and once in place, continuously improve an Occupational Health Safety System along industry standards OHSAS 18001 Create and maintain awareness of GS staff on HS relevant matters by preparing and providing training information sessions. COMPETENCIES Complex ProblemSolving capabilities with effective communication and persuasion skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, analytical sense, selfstarting qualities, coordination and priority setting abilities, excellent planning and organizational skills Experienced in handling Quality related tasks in Satellite or Telco or operational Space Experienced in supporting the preparation of technical and commercial proposals in cooperation with engineeringoperations personnel and sales teams Excellent team work and crossfunctional cooperation. QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE BachelorMasters Degree in Information Communications Technology ICT or similar industry education can be subsituted for experience Minimum 810 years of Global experience in Operational, Quality ManagementAssurance, preferably in the Satellite Operations Telecommunications Industry Proven experience in the domain of Occupational Health Safety Computer literacy latest BI and analytical tools, MS Office, MS Project, etc. Expert knowledge of ISO Quality standards acquired either through a successful company QM certification experience or through permanent and dedicated management of QM tasks within an organization Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset Willing to travel internationally. Our client is looking for a group leader of a QA team of inspectors for one of their space projects. Heshe will also be the interface to the AIT team and to the project. The QA Manager will report project internally to the product assurance manager and interact with the customer representatives onsite. Heshe will also be responsible for all QA activities within the project. Tasks and Responsibilities Organization of your team including assignment to project sites, shift schemes and work packages Organization and guidance for the inprocess inspections during all manufacturing, assembly, integration and test MAIT activities Control of relevant MAIT records and guidance for the MAIT team to perform the product related documentation tasks Organization and support of Nonconformance Review Boards, Test Readiness Reviews and Post Test Reviews Support of environmental tests as responsible QA representative Performance of MIPs, KIPs and inprocess inspections Responsible for the delivery of the QA documentation of your team.
