The activities are conducted under the responsibility of the EUMETSAT Copernicus Sentinel3 Operations Team within the Operations and User Support Department with the support of the Technical and Scientific Support Department. Responsibilities We are looking for a Data Processing System engineer who will support the Sentinel3 Operations with respect to EUMETSATs Marine Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS maintenance in particular anomaly correction and software release process in the area of DFEP and L0, and necessary evolutions, including the necessary coordination of the data processing systems engineering for the related interfaces with the rest of the Sentinel3 ground segment at our customers premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Your duties will include tasks such as preparing and providing the support of the daytoday operation and maintenance of the PDGS which is currently in the preparation phase analysis and testing of the facilities handling of anomalies, design of upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities being focal point when it comes to integrating the individual software facilities into a data processing system, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including endtoend testing of the production system setting up and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures coordination with external providers of maintenance services participation in the specification and development of specific monitoring tools for Sentinel3 In support to operations, you may also be required to provide on call support as part of a team of maintenance engineers, especially for the Sentinel3 commissioning and initial operations phases.
