ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY In this position you will be responsible for partnering with topnotch crossfunctional teams from development through execution of projects using Agile, Waterfall, andor a hybrid of methodologies You will be expertise in one or more of the following areas project execution, analyzing crossteam dependencies, blockages, process efficiency, proper documentation i.e. user stories, release plans in Jira. You will also be responsible for providing support in regularly reporting project status to management and other stakeholders. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Manage sprint planning and execution which includes the management of project progress providing project status and visibility to leadership Support and conduct all Scrum Ceremonies or Project Milestones meetings Organize with Product Management to meet project objectives, define roadmap and sprint goals Identify and manage of crossteam dependencies with across the PM team Support team retrospectives to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity Ensure high throughput of development teams by identifying potential issues and roadblocks and working on preventing or eliminating them Work with stakeholders to manage and maintain project plans Regularly record and present accurate status updates and metrics on project health, budget, and milestones COMPETENCIES Facilitation support release planning, and scheduling, by providing Scrum team statistics, identifying project dependencies, and forecasting velocity Influence support multiple teams with tight deadlines and dependencies Innovation collaborate with team to improve methodologies Communication Global Cultural Awareness QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Required Seniority will be based on experience 69 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or related field required a combination of education and experience will be considered 3 years of experience in Project Management Certified Scrum Master SCM or Certified Associate in Project Management CAPM certification Advanced proficiency in English, other languages a plus 5 international and domestic travel Experience with Microsoft Project Preferred Experience working with highly technical stakeholders Experience with Atlassian tools i.e. Jira and Confluence Experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft PowerBI Experience working in the Satellite or Telecommunications industry Experience working on a global or multinational team SES and its Affiliated Companies are committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce. Thorn SDS is a specialist provider of engineering services within the European Space Sector. Over the next three weeks we are building a team to propose to EUMETSAT in support of their programme to establish a Ground Stations Operations Engineering Service. This service covers aspects including Operations of the Ground Stations Implementation, verification and operational validation of the new Ground Stations and their evolutions Contributions to operations preparations and system verification validation. Anomaly Investigation Preparation of Operational Documentation Training of personnel All members of the team should have a university degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline e.g. telecoms, electronics, radio frequency. Proven experience in the operations of complex ground stations systems TTC and Mission Data Acquisition in support of multiple GOE and LEO spacecraft in a real time 247 spacecraft operations environment would be hugely advantageous. The team will need to continually develop, so an aptitude for continual development and training is important. We would expect a level of competence in analysis, synthesis and presentation skills as well as good interpersonal and team working skills. Experience or significant knowledge in one or more of these areas would also be considered advantageous Major upgrades or evolutions of operational ground stations Definition and implementation of verification and validation activities of ground stations Definition, verification and validation of interfaces between ground stations and ground segments Diagnosis and correction of first line ground statins hardware and software failures Preparation of requirements, design, interfaces and testing documentation. Document management ab configuration control processes Definition of user interfaces for operations HMI, reports etc. Baseband operation and configurations Dataminer, Monitoring and control tools SLE operation and configuration.
