China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn import prices have begun sliding in China, whereas domestic yarn prices were not yet changed after the national holidays. Textile production could possibly recover, after the surge of polyester fiber prices has depressed demand in September. Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

US cotton futures have been further depressed by the sharp fall of export sales after China has applied additional tariffs on US cotton. Market fundamentals continue however announcing a fall of production and a rise of consumption this season, meaning that stocks will further decline and prices will rise from their average level in the past season.
