Would you be interested in joining the team to develop precise GNSSbased positioning and navigation software solutions? NSL have an immediate requirement for a full time Navigation Engineer. The role will be based in either Nottingham, UK, or in our new European office. Main Duties 1. Analysis, development, improvement and testing of algorithms for high accuracy and precision positioning and navigation. 2. Development of quality measures for precision positioning and navigation. 3. Software implementation into realtime applications and services to agreed timescales and standards. 4. Participate in the teams software design discussions. 5. Improving product quality by diagnosing and fixing defects. 6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the companys development processes. 7. Create relevant documentation following the companys processes. 8. Provide training and guidance to other engineers and customers as required. 9. Interface closely with key customers to understand and solve issues and to customize the core products to their individual requirements. Key Skills Experience The successful candidate will possess a number of the following skills and experience 1. Knowledge of algorithms for advanced positioning techniques. 2. Knowledge of GNSS related quality measures. 3. Working experience in the development of advanced positioning or integrated navigation solutions and services. 4. Possess a good understanding of user markets and applications. 5. Experience in the use of precise positioning software tools. 6. Experience with programming languages andor mathematical analysis packages. 7. Knowledge and experience of software engineering practice and developing code to industry standards. 8. Experience in developing technical documentation, procedures and guidelines. 9. Degree or further degree in a GNSS, scientific or mathematical related subject. The candidate must be eligible to qualify for UKEU Security Clearance and therefore only European citizens should apply.

Radio Navigation Engineer

Position Reference 425 You will have the opportunity to design, analyse, implement and test of radio navigation systems, with emphasis on radio navigation receivers as a key System Verification Tool. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include GNSS Systems Implementation, Integration, Verification and Experimentation including preparation, execution and analysis of simulations and Test Campaigns, development and usage of Radio Navigation receivers and other System Verification Tools Support to the Galileo project in the monitoring of industrial contracts for the design, development and verification of radio navigation receivers and their technologies, including hybridisation, and other System Verification Tools, and for studies on radio navigation, including generating technical requirements and statements of work Following andor overseeing experimentation and validation activities related to GALILEO Test User Receivers and other GALILEO System Verification Tools in liaison with engineering staff in the area of timing, user characterisation and UERE budget assessment. Participation in the overall Radio Navigation RD roadmap for the definition of high TRL activities with emphasis on the areas of Radio Navigation receivers and other System Verification Tools. You have at least 4 years experience relevant with GNSS and GALILEO systems and equipment including receivers and good knowledge of Radio Navigation simulation and testing systems. You have strong knowledge on Satellite Radio Navigation Systems, ranging and positioning techniques and technologies, including latest trends in robust PNT. You have strong knowledge and experience on the design, development and testing of Radio Navigation receivers, including signal processing, positioning algorithms, Radio Frequency, multiantenna and sensor hybridisation aspects. You have strong experience at user level with satellite navigation receivers and satellite navigation positioning, integrity algorithms and robust positioning. You are able to work in multidisciplinary teams and autonomously. You must be eligible for security clearance from their national security administration. The following skills would be highly desirable You have a good knowledge on EGNOS Overlay System, including the extension to GALILEO support and associated integrity functions You are familiar with SafetyOfLife systems, with Advanced RAIM ARAIM techniques and with RTKPPP techniques You are familiar with authentication and encryption techniques that could be relevant to expected GALILEO OSCS evolutions in these domains.
