Integration, Verification and Validation Engineer 1621176 Job Description We are looking for an integration, verification and validation engineer to work in the Meteosat Third Generation mission for our client EUMETSAT, which is responsible for IVV activities at Ground Segment and System levels. You will be part of a team that supports the integration and preparation of the Ground Segment GS and System for the launch, commissioning and operations of the MTGI1 and MTGS1 satellites. You will work mainly at the EUMETSAT headquarters in Darmstadt Travel within Europe may be needed for the execution of specific tests. Standby for remote or callout support will be required. The following phases of MTG IVV need to be supported Integration of facilities into the Ground Segment, by verification of relevant interfaces, followed by verification of Ground Segment requirements Integration of the Ground Segment with the Space Segment and the LEOP service by verification of relevant interfaces, followed by verification of system requirements System operational validation. Job description For our customer, EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking an experienced EPSSG Overall Ground Segment Integration and Verification Support Engineer. You will be supporting the EPSSG Overall Ground Segment OGS which is located at a number of sites, with the main sites being the EUMETSAT Mission Control Centre MCC and the Ground Station site in Svalbard. At these sites, the subsegments will be integrated with and utilise the Operational Network. You will be supporting the Integration and Verification IV activities of the OGS which will be related to the planning, preparation and execution of OGS IV activities and following up assessing IV activities performed as part of the OGS procurements. Responsibilities Typical activities to be undertaken are Contribute to the production of all OGS IV documents during Phase C, and their implementation in Phase D Update and maintain the OGS IV related schedule in coordination with Project Control Coordinate the IV approach with the System team to ensure coherence and completeness of the EPSSG OGS and System level approaches Follow and assess the IVV approach of all contributing elements of the OGS and ensure compatibility with the overall OGS IV Plan Establish and maintain the verification control mechanisms Ensure accurate metrics on IV progress are maintained Ensure implementation of the OGS IV plan through lower level test documentation, processes, test execution and relevant OGS reviews Attend sub segment IVV tests as observer, witnessing tests where requirements are verified Identify and support the acquisition of all necessary Test Tools and Test Data Support validation activities managed by the EPSSG System Team Report on a weekly and monthly basis to GS Management This is a fulltime position with the planned start on 01.
