Task Descriptions Development in particular the verification and validation of the Instrument Data Processing Facility IDPF Being able to use the Payload Data Generator PDG Responsible for software development for the PDG. In particular will be in charge of the analysis, coding and testing algorithms. Simulating the impact of the overall MTG data acquisition chain encompassing the geometric, radiometric and spectral deformations as well as a few ones like spatial resamplingremapping and data fusion functions. A vacancy for an Image Chain Test Engineer mf has opened up at Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site. The successful candidate will join the RF Payload Engineering Department. Within the testAIT workshop RFpayloadOptical engineering team, the candidate will participate in preparing and supporting system and functional tests for the payload subsystem for observation satellites. Your main tasks will include analysing the payload design and understanding validation needs defining the test methods and techniques defining the test and test data processing means writing test plans, procedures and reports encoding and validating test sequences following up tests, providing support for test operations interfacing with the payload project team Teamwork in shifts may be required over a 23 day phase to cover critical phases Oncall duty may be required in 3x8hr shifts for certain test phases Travel to the launch site may occasionally be required. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience Engineering or university equivalent 5year degree in the RF andor telecommunications field, At least 3 years of experience in equipment integration tests on test benches and satellites, Knowledge of signal processing in digital image processing if possible encoding, compression, encryption, Knowledge of satellite avionics systems DHS, Knowledge of industrial IT and test languages, Knowledge of optics would be a plus, Operating qualities thorough technical approach, compliance with test deadline and cost imperatives, good team player, excellent communication skills, synthesis skills, and the ability to capitalise on and share knowhow Negotiation level of English and advanced level of French.
