Quality Assurance Engineer

We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Quality Assurance Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Implement Quality Assurance QA policies in the assigned areas Update the Programme specific QA plan as necessary Followup the satellite procurement activities performed by ESA Provide QA support during the storage phases of the satellites Follow up any repair activity necessary on instruments embarked on MetopC satellite Support, monitor and witness Satellite AIT activities regarding instruments Manage and support the Anomalies Review Board ARB and Material Review Board MRB Provide QA support during the launch preparation activities Participate to the launch campaign, if requested Support the definition of the QA procedures for the preparation of Phase CD Provide QA support for the implementation of processes focussed in the area of the Ground Segment Support the regular monitoring of established metrics on the main processes within Ground Segments Provide QA support to the GS development activities Preparation and support to the project reviews process Support the QA requirements internal review process Provide QA support for the implementation of Configuration Management processes Report directly to the LEO QA Manager for all Programme specific QA aspects and brief the LEO QA Manager on the main issues identified in the Programme specific meetings. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in a relevant discipline Several years of professional experience in space systems spaceground segments with experience in project QA positions Handson experience in QA processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control Experience in risks management and lessons learned processes Proven knowledge in a rational application of quality international standards Experience in managing, reporting and following of procured items Good knowledge of project management and project planning, including the ability to identify and report on critical paths Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Access Knowledge of requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of French or another European language is an advantage. One of our space clients in Germany is looking for a Quality Assurance engineer to work on their projects. The Low Earth Orbit Quality Assurance consultant will be integrated into the Quality Assurance Team which provides support to the Low earth Orbit Division. Our clients Quality Assurance Engineers are deployed as integrated support to the various programmes. Key Tasks Implement client QA policies in the assigned areas, in accordance with the Programme specific QA plan for all phases covered by this statement of work and the relevant contract. Update the Programme specific quality assurance plan as necessary. Followup the satellite procurement activities performed by ESA Provide Quality Assurance support during the storage phases of the satellites. Follow up any repair activity necessary on instruments embarked on MetopC satellite Support, monitor and witness Satellite AIT activities regarding instruments. Manage and support the Anomalies Review Board ARB and Material Review Board MRB. Provide Quality Assurance support during the launch preparation activities. Participate in the launch campaign, if requested. The launch will take place in Centre Spatial Guyanais in Kourou, French Guyana. Support the definition of the Quality Assurance procedures for the preparation of Phase CD of the programmes. Provide Quality Assurance support for the implementation of processes focussed in the area of the Ground Segment Support the regular monitoring of established metrics on the main processes within Ground Segments Required Skills Sound handson experience in Quality Assurance processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control. Sound handson experience in risks management and lessons learned processes. Sound experience in a rational application of quality international standards. Sound handson experience in managing, reporting and following of procured items. Knowledge of project management and project planning, including the ability to identify and report on critical paths. Some knowledge of requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS. Ability to draft management reports and executive summaries in English. Sound handson experience of working on collaborative programmes between different partners. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Access. Good interpersonal skills, including mediation skills. Good attitude to team working. Additional Provide Quality Assurance support to the GS development activities. Preparation and support to the project reviews process. Support the Quality Assurance requirements internal review process. Provide Quality Assurance support for the implementation of Configuration Management processes. Report directly to the LEO Quality Assurance Manager for all Programme specific QA aspects and brief the LEO QA Manager on the main issues identified in the Programme specific meetings.

With 2.500 employees worldwide, our client is one of the top players in the European space industry. The organization specializes in Systems Engineering and offers hightech solutions for space craft. These include loworbit and geostationary satellites for earth observation, navigation, telecommunications, science and space exploration as well as systems for manned space flight, aerial reconnaissance and process control systems. The test campaign will take place in the Netherlands. Tasks and Responsibilities Support in QA matters visavis ESA Review and approval of AsRun Test Procedures SignOffSheet Control of test facility readiness and test equipment calibrations Control of acceleration sensors placing and search run for the vibration test Performance of Test Readiness Reviews and Post Test Reviews Witnessing of Assembling, Integration and Testing activities Control for completeness of all functional tests before, during and after all environmental testsvibration, thermal cycle, acoustic noise, EMC Check of test results recording and signature of test reports NCR processing using the inhouse NCTS Performance of KIPs and MIPs and generation of MIP Reports Support Configuration Management activities asbuilt status, accountability items Control of satellite transport preparation for transport to Kourou. Especially control of security seals for transport to Kourou according to seal list Verification and tracking of safety controls and measures Regular reporting to the QA lead and Product Assurance Manager. Requirements Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or comparable qualifications A minimum of 3 years of experience with quality assurance in Space Industry, preferably on ESA projects Knowledge of international and European quality norms and standards, especially ESA ECSS standards Well motivated and selfconfident Welldeveloped communication skills and good organizational skills Accustomed to work in teams Fluency in written and spoken English German language skills are a plus.
