Product Assurance Engineer

It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for a Product Assurance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. You will be responsible for ensuring the relevant quality assurance controls are applied to a project, or part of a project, in accordance with the projects contractual requirements and those compatible with the companys Business Management System. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Generate and implement product and project Product Assurance Safety Plans Assure the qualification and verification programme is defined and completed Ensure all external and internal PA requirements are fully understood and implemented by the project, subcontractors and suppliers Attend regular progress meetings with PA disciplines and report Coordinate and provide PA inputs for project design reviews, PDR, CDR, etc. Ensure that all Parts, Materials and Processes are approved for flight PADs, RFAs, etc. through PCBs, MPCB, ERCBs Undertake inspections and audits as required MIPs, KIPs, etc. Control the management of nonconformances and associated tools Understand Non Conformance Reports NCRs raised by subcontractors and convenechair nonconformance review boards Attend Configuration Control Boards CCBs, Test Reviews TRR, TRB, PTR Participate and support in risk assessment and mitigation plans Review and action the alert and warning notes systematically, ensuring their flow down and implementation by subcontractors and maintaining records Manage the project audit schedule and associated audit reportsactions, including inspections including supplier audits Ensure the Equipment Qualification Status List is maintained for all equipments Ensure compliance to product liability legislation Review and approve the Certificate of Conformity CofC Actively challenge current working processes and practices to ensure improvement in quality and efficiency. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Proven experience working in Space environment in Quality related disciplines MaterialsProcess background would be appreciated Experience of Space programmes and ECSS standards Product AssuranceQuality Assurance experience on complexextensive Electronics and Mechanical based Systems EN9100ISO 9001auditing experience, supplier evaluation and monitoring Knowledge of Electrical Components Space hardware User and promoter of quality tools and methods, particularly risk management Good team worker with strong interpersonal and persuasive skills Negotiation level in English. Product Assurance Manager

In support of a number of imminent contracts our client is currently in the process of recruiting for the position of Product Assurance manager to establish and ensure the application compliant Product Assurance policies. This role will suit a Product Assurance Manager who is looking for either a long term contract or a permanent position. This UK based operation offers a wide range of InSpace Propulsion solutions to the European Space Community. This not only covers the heritage and extensively flight proven products of our parent company but also Research Development including the establishment of an extensive InSpace environmental test capability. Our client offers offering covers monopropellant, electric propulsion thrusters and propulsion systems. For this specific requirement we are keen to recruit an individual with considerable experience in developing, maintaining and applying PA policies and practices in line with ECSS standards, as well as having handson flight programme PA Safety management expertise. The role will involve ensuring PA, Quality and Safety requirements are fulfilled both internally and with subcontract organisations. Experience in working in the Aerospace environment is essential, with experience in dealing with Space Sector a distinct advantage. This role will require considerable management and coordination of diverse teams therefore demonstrated experience in this environment will be essential. Colocation in Northern Ireland will be a requirement. This is a key senior role in taking forward our exciting and expanding offering to the European Space community. Product Assurance Manager

Product Assurance Manager EDRS is a satellite based communication system for the relay of high speed Earth Observation data received. Our Customer is the prime contractor and responsible for the management and implementation of the program and the subsequent operation of the satellite and the ground infrastructure to provide the data relay services to the customer. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the core project EDRS team and responsible for the implementation of all product assurance requirements in the EDRS Ground Segment, you will have the following responsibilities PA plan and assurance of all PA activities in cooperation with all other functions Generate and approve PA documents Manage the supplier interface in respect to the PA aspects, incl. acceptance reviews and NCR Management Report about the PA elements to the PA Manager of the EDRS Programme Prepare the operations phase concerning PA topics Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Several years work experience as PA Manager Previous Experience with ESA and ESA Standards e.g. ECSS Previous Experience with ESA NCTS and ESA RID tool Ability to cooperate with complex challenges in a matrix organisation Ability to understand the challenges of the EDRS programme beyond the scope of the own work and take this challenge into account in the execution of the own work Ability to operate in a multinational team organisation Work style characterised by autonomy, initiative and cooperation Good communication and interpersonal skills and social competences Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German language is an advantage.
