Product Assurance Manager Configuration and Document Management Engineer

One of our space clients based in Norway is looking for a Product Assurance engineer with a background in the following. Quality Assurance and Product Assurance Management Configuration and Document Management This is for a space project working in an Atmosphere Space Interaction Monitor system and our client is designing and building a detector plane and readout electronics for gamma and Xray detection. This consists of two main units Low Energy Detector LED and a High Energy Detector HED. They are delivering to a Technical University which is responsible to integrate their part together with DPU Data Process Unit, PSU Power Supply Unit from Poland and mechanical units. This will constitutes the Modular Xray and Gammaray Sensor, which the university will deliver to a space company based in Denmark which is the prime for this project. Current progress is as follows The Ground Model was delivered, but documents from the CDR are still being reviewed. The client is now delivering the Flight Models. Test Review Board and Integration Readiness Review are needed before integration can start. The Acceptance Data Package ADP is about to be delivered. After environmental tests HED had some failure and needs to be repaired. The unit is now being repaired, these were functional tested a few months ago. Documentation for HED has to be updated after the environmental testing, TRB has to be held for that unit before IRR. Our client is therefore looking for someone with expertise in Quality Assurance and Product Assurance Management. Configuration and Document management Familiar with all ESA requirements and rules. Specific work tasks are Soldering verification program. Closure of the open NCRs. Finish of the DPL, DML and DMPL with the associated RFA. Handling and signoff of data packages. Support other space players in integration of our units in the higher level assembly and testing. The contract will be for 6 months and start date as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.

This is a permanent position for an Engineering Consultant with at least 10 years specific experience in Quality and Product Assurance in Aerospace Space programmes. You will require good interpersonal and mediation skills together with experience on QAPA processes on satellite Ground Segments and satellite Mission Control and Operations. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in September 2015 or soon after. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation GEO satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The consultant will be part of the GEO QA team whose work encompasses the implementation of QA processes in support of client activities. The following attributes are essential for this position 1. Significant handson experience in QAPA processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control, and QAPA performance metrics 2. Knowledge and application of aerospacespace Product and Quality Assurance standards 3. Knowledge of and experience in applying ISO 9001 Standards 4. Multiyear experience in the implementation of QA policies and methods in procurement contracts for complex products such as ground segment systems. 5. Experience in providing QA support to SW products throughout their complete development lifecycle. Experience in following HWSW products integration and verification 6. Significant handson experience in using Microsoft Office Suite. 7. Capability of producing and releasing in autonomy Minutes of Meetings and QA reports 8. Experience in application of risk management and lessons learned processes The main working language is English and candidates must be fluent in both reading and writing but knowledge of French also would be advantageous. The Key Person shall have at least 10 years of specific experience in Quality and Product Assurance QAPAin AerospaceSpace Programmes, and have good interpersonal and mediation skills. Specific experience on QAPA processes on satellite Ground Segments, satellite Mission Control and Operations is required, and experience on Satellite data processing will be considered an advantage. Tasks The Technical Scientific Support TSS department is responsible for providing all engineering, data product specification and project support expertise to the Operations Services to Users OPS and the Programme Preparation Development PRD departments. TSS also provides management support to all EUMETSAT departments via ist Process Assurance and Management Support division PRS, including quality assurance, defined as a set of quality policy objectives and responsibilities. Quality Assurance in TSS is defined and applied to TSS processes Process Assurance and to the products delivered by the department Product Assurance. The Key person defined in Article 12 of the Contract shall contribute to the Provision of Quality Assurance support to TSS, supporting the PRS Quality Assurance engineer who has the responsibility for coordinating QA support within the TSS Department.
