Key objectives of this position include We are currently looking for an Engineer to support the Galileo Project Office in the Operations of the Galileo System, with focus on the ICT infrastructure. Responsibilities Duties The typical tasks will include Contribute to the review process of the Galileo ICTrelated contracts, with special focus on the reviews of the Galileo Data Dissemination Network. Monitoring of the GDDN service provision SLA by the WP6 contractor Contribute to the ICT Operational Concept for the Galileo system Contribute to the productionreview of the IT aspects of the applicable ICDs GDDN to Segments ICD Support the Galileo Configuration Control Processes in IT areas Network Configuration Control Board Followup of IT related Anomalies ARs,NCRs and Resolution process CCRs Support System in their integration and verification activities with focus on IT infrastructure Contribute to the Galileo Project Office in the Operations team with other IT related activities Support the Galileo Project Office during the development, validation, integration and operations of the endtoend communication system GDDN, xNE and associated MC system, with focus on the Galileo Data Dissemination Network GDDN Following the deployment, validation and transition to operation of new communications links as well as the required migration processes, ensuring their timely availability for the meet the project development plans Coordinate with the segments in the provision of an endtoend ICT solution for the Galileo System Qualifications Experience Applicants should have a University degree or equivalent qualification in informatics or an equivalent qualification in the IT domain Proven experience in communication technologies and computer systems. The successful candidate will support the Galileo Operations Engineering Unit in the coordinating of the definition, preparation, testing, validation, and implementation of the Galileo Early Service operations for the system and user community, as required to meet the overall Galileo requirements. This concerns the Operations service activities performed in the Galileo Control Centres, the Galileo remote stations, the Galileo external entities and the User Communities. For his day to day work heshe will report to the Head of the Galileo Engineering Operations Unit in order to provide regular support to the Galileo Operations Procurement Office.
