We are looking for you as Satellite Operations and Procurement Engineer mf Are you looking for a new and interesting activity in one of Europes most outstanding projects in the area of data relay satellites? This could be your field of responsibility Engineering support to mission operations Support to the operations engineering team on technical aspects related to the procurement of operations products. Review of operations products delivered by spacecraft suppliers, e.g. User Manuals, Satellite Reference Database, Procedures for Flight Operations, Satellite Simulator, Ground Software Acceptance of delivered products on basis of compliance to its technical requirements and its qualification status Supervision of ground software implementation and verification performed by payload control centre team based on inputs from spacecraft supplier Support to operational readiness review Support to LEOP and IOT activities Support to user commissioning and final acceptance Technical assessment of nonconformances, discrepancies and waivers Coordination with EDRS system engineering and procurement Support of the EDRS quality management process Support of the EDRS program management Your profile requires A scientific or technical degree or equivalent qualification with knowledge of the aerospace environment Profound knowledge of space system operations Experience with communication payloads Experience with modern software tools and techniques including databases, XML, Python, Java or other scripting languages Experience with Unix and Windows based operating systems Ability to steer subcontractors Ability to document the own work according to the standards of ESA programs Ability to operate in a multinational team organisation Work style characterised by autonomy, proactive behaviour and cooperation Good communication and interpersonal skills Experience with ESA and ESA standards Language skills English fluent, Permission to work in the European Union. This position, based near Frankfurt in Germany, is for a graduate Consultant with at least 5 years experience in the field of engineering of space andor ground systems in the area of Earth observation from space including 3 years involvement in the preparation andor execution of VV activities at System level or at Ground Segment level. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. The successful candidate will be part of the LEO division working on the EPSSG Preparatory Programme and will typically be involved with tasks related to the planning and preparation of system VV activities. The key experience and skills sought are University degree in engineering, physics or equivalent At least 5 years experience in the field of engineering of space andor ground systems in the area of Earth observation from space 3 years involvement in the preparation andor execution of VV activities at System level or at Ground Segment level Experience with the preparation of test plans, test specifications andor test procedures, prepared for VV of such systems The following would be beneficial Experience with Satellite System Validation Tests andor RF test campaigns Hands on experience with the development of test tools and compilation of test data sets Proficiency in using DOORS Background related to Low Earth Orbit LEO systems The working language is English. You will also be leading technology product development for PaCoRa family of products.
