Galileo Satellite System Engineer

RHEA is currently recruiting a Galileo Satellite System Engineer to support the Galileo Space Segment System team at our clients premises in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities This position will report to the Galileo FOC Satellite System Manager. It covers support to Satellite Qualification and Acceptance, from contract kickoff to launch, working in close cooperation with subsystem experts, such as payload and platform, as well as AIV and PA. The scope of work will include Technical coherency of the satellite system design, including system level budgets, system performance analysis. Satellite System tradeoffs in design phase based on subsystem inputs Satellites acceptance campaign and more specifically system tests. Satellite qualificationacceptance test matrix and test flow execution. Technical discussion raised through design and acceptance reviews such as PDR, CDR, QAR, AR. Timely implementation of fix from inorbit shortcoming. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory At least 3 years experience in full life cycle satellite system activities ABCDE Demonstrated capabilities to work in space projects with complex technical and industrial interfaces. Willingness to travel, mainly within Europe. Be eligible to obtain security clearance by their national security administration. Levering on the technical expertise accumulated within the Group by operating satellites for almost 30 years, it provides technical services to the Satellite Industry on a worldwide basis. This 2 year mission with SES Techcom will primarily involve the establishment of a conceptual approach to the design of constellations for satellitebased ADSB. The satellitebased ADSB system targets the reception of aircraft ADSB messages from space to offer continuous visibility on the air traffic over the globe. The role includes complex issue resolution, coordinating information requests from other departments, and working with external parties such as air navigation service providers and third party vendors to ensure a positive customer experience. This role also includes responsibility for defining and analysing concepts and solutions linked to space based ADSB technology by focussing on the data captured from the deployed ADSB space receiver.
