Summary An opportunity for an experienced payload engineer to work onsite at ESTEC for Telespazio VEGA UK. Objective To provide support at the Payload Engineering Section in ESTEC for activities related to the definition, simulation, specification and development of telecom, EO and RF Remote Sensing Instruments and Payloads. Responsibilities Duties Duties will include but are not limited to Definition, simulation, specification and development of telecom, EO and RF Remote Sensing Instruments and payloads. The related tasks include both RD activities in preparation of payload instrument concepts for future satellite missions and the technical support to ESA projects on the areas of telecom and EO payloads and RF Remote Sensing instruments i.e. Radar, SAR, altimeters, radiometers, scatterometers. Qualifications Experience Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related specialisation. Good experience with various industrystandard CAD tools, and generic software tools for payload systems monitoring and control. Good knowledge of LabView and some knowledge of Linux operating system are a distinct advantage. Essential Skills Good English language skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present and effectively communicate quality system processes. Good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
