If you are searching for an international and dynamic environment and interested in taking responsibility and growing you can find it at SES. You will be part of the team in charge of MEO Payload Engineering, spacecraft inorbit operations and performance monitoring, as well as support to spacecraft planning, design and procurement. Your Responsibilities Support MEO payload mission and operations Support Launch, LEOP, Payload IOT and transition phasing of MEO satellites into constellation for Start of Service Maximize satellite and constellation fleet availability and longevity Monitor health status and provide oncall support for satellites in operation, including recovery and followup of eventual spacecraft offlimit conditions, anomalies and service interruptions Support tool and procedure development of payload mission for MEO constellation current and future mPower Develop and maintain tools for evaluating and trending payload and constellation performance Support the design and procurement of new satellites, including MEO mPower constellation, for spacecraft design reviews, integration, ground and inorbit testing Act as Payload Operations interface for platform systems, sales engineering, ground operations and systems architecture and engineering teams Support endtoend design solutions Support spacecraft anomalies and contingency operations, including new operational solutions, for contingency operations at spacecraft and constellationlevel Your ExperienceQualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering masters degree preferred, with a specialization in Radio Frequency telecommunications. Previous exposure to digital payload technology and operation is considered a strong asset e.g. digital transparent processor Minimum 2 for Senior 7 years industryrelated experience Have a thorough understanding of the satellite payload subsystems, including the management of all the equipment on board of the spacecraft that is required for proper transmission of the customer signal Ability to adapt to fastpaced or custom situations with innovative and effective solutions Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff Have a sound theoretical knowledge and be eager to implement it in a practical environment Have strong analytical and problemsolving skills Have strong computer software skills. Systems Engineer Optical Payload

Primary Purpose of the Role The Systems Engineer will work with the Lead Systems Engineer on Equipment, PayloadPlatforms activities within phase ABCD of proposalsprojects focusing on optical design architecture and optics alignment. The Systems Engineer will define requirements, architecture, design and verification for space systems in accordance with relevant European Space Agency flight standards. This will be completed in accordance with relevant Thales Quality Management and industry Standards. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager with technical oversight provided by the Design Authority. The main duties and responsibilities will include Experience in space optical system design, image sensors and filters Experience in calibration, alignment testing for optical payloads Perform modelling, simulation and tradeoffs for the payloads Analysis of customer requirements and flow them into a compliant subsystem specifications Deliver technical documents and estimates for proposals and reviews on time. Selection of parts suitable for the space environment Interface Management and Specification Requirements Engineering through the engineering project Critically review inputs from the different teams systems, software, mechanicalthermal Definition of test procedures Supporting integration and testing at unit and Spacecraft level Support to reviews at all levels of the design, development and testing of the function Liaise with customers and subcontractors on technical issues Experience with Requirements management tools such as DOORS, and modelling tools will be an advantage Experience with scripting languages Experience with MatlabSimulink Experience with Zemacs would be an asset The position will be based at the TASUK Bristol office but up to 10 of work may need to be conducted at subcontractors or customer premises, typically in UK or Europe. Payload Data Ground Segment Systems Engineer

You will support a missioncritical payload data ground system providing satellite data products to meteorological services worldwide. You will be part of a small multinational team. You will work in a complex Linuxbased environment comprising a large number of powerful, stateoftheart server and storage systems. You will use and extend your experience on system level architecture, interfaces, data flows. Summary objective We are looking for a degreeeducated system engineer to work in a complex satellite data processing system. Our team supports the customer onsite in Darmstadt to process and deliver meteorological data to international users complete, in time and with good quality. Responsibilities Duties Performance monitoring and preventive maintenance to ensure continuous, complete and timely production and delivery of the products to the users Anomaly investigation, root cause analysis and Anomaly Reports handling this will also include providing recommendations for workarounds to mitigate satellite anomalies Support evolution of the software building, packaging, deployment, integration and testing in test environments and operational environment. Maintenance and update of operational documentations Perform technical analysis of system architecture and specification evolutions or major upgrades of the operational ground systems. Contribute to proposals, and to the IVV activities for major evolutions of the operational ground systems. Qualifications Experience Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Telecommunication or other relevant scientific or engineering area Experience in software development, Integration, Verification and Validation IVV of complex systems Systemlevel and componentlevel experience complex system architecture with many interfaces, data flows and dependencies is more relevant than programming experience Experience working in a Linux based environment.
