Job Description Our team is involved in establishing the requirements for UKs next generation of military satellite system and developing an open and flexible system architecture that brings together cuttingedge technology and innovation from the military and commercial satellite communications sectors. Our team are also applying industry best practice to create responsive and agile satellite operations to support our military customers in the most challenging of environments. We have an opportunity for a Product Assurance Lead to join and be an integral part of e2Es programmesystems delivery team. The Product Assurance Lead is required to provide support to e2E and its external customers such as UK MoD and commercial satcom operators, in assure high quality and reliability of products and systems delivered highlighting and assessing risks to schedule and cost to achieve the high assurance level. Key Responsibilities To ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded through effective product assurance planning To ensure that for product or system failures appropriate root cause investigation takes place and that corrective and preventive action is planned, tested and implemented To ensure the system design and any associated product manufacturing risk in terms of quality is identified, evaluated and mitigated through the demonstration of existing heritage andor new design validation To provide prompt identification and prioritisation of nonconformances in a product, ensuring corrective action at project and management level To promote and provide this product assurance capability to existing and potential customers To drive improvements inhouse in holding risk based audits and in the supply chain if appropriate for e2E products Deliver Quality, Product Assurance, Safety and Reliability requirements Establish compliance to Product Assurance and Safety requirements for productssystems, Generation of Product Assurance and Safety Plans Support the Design, Test and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews within a system lifecycle from a Product Assurance perspective Support the administration of, coauthorise and close out of waivers and deviations. The Configuration Management Engineer CME will interface projects and programmes of the Navigation Directorate for all aspects of Configuration and information management CM. The key person will provide expertise of NAVs digital information systems and intermediates between those and their internal and external users as part of the services rendered by the Configuration and Data Management unit. The CME will report to the Head of the Configuration and Data Management unit. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Product Configuration support Analyse and contribute to the specification of relevant processes for Segment and System CI identification, verification and control in support of NAV engineering activities. Support implementation and maintain programmatic, contractual and technical Baselines. Contribute to the generation of product documents such as Product Tree, CIDL, ABCL, CSAR and CSR Configuration Status Report. Followup and document product configuration evolutions from ascontracted, asdesigned, asdeveloped, as delivered, asdeployed, asinstalled to asoperated. Perform configuration audits, inspections and CI identification. Configure, operate, report from and improve CM databases. Provide status data and maintaining a wellstructured record system for relevant CM processes and transaction. Organization of the Navigation documentation office logistics including, but not limited to procedures, media and ledgers. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent university degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies. At least 4 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management. Office productivity PC desktop, laptops, mainly in a MS Windows based application environment such as Office 365, in particular good knowledge in MS Excel. Expertise in applying and configuring at least one PLM, asset management or CM process relevant tool such as Windchill, Jira, SAP, Eclipse, Hardcat, WAND, ClearCaseClearQuest.
