Space Electronics Systems Engineer

Our client is looking for a Space Electronics System Engineer to join our growing design team dedicated to developing innovative electronic systems for Space applications. The role will involve the design, development, test and documentation activities related to new space based electronics avionics equipment. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented allrounder with a mix of experience in electronic design and technical analysis who can take responsibility for endtoend delivery of project deliverable. The successful candidate will be a selfstarter who can demonstrate initiative and problemsolving capability and ideally with some experience in the design and development of space electronic systems operating in the challenging space environment. An important part of the role will require excellent communications skills to interface with the customer technical team and with the internal departments who are delivering items and services to the project. The new Space Systems Engineer will report directly to the Design Engineering Manager and work under minimal supervision while assuming responsibility for their assigned tasks with a sense of urgency and attention to detail to deliver the technical solution to our customer on time and within budget. Position Responsibilities Review customers requirements to determine the first iteration of technical solution. Analyse the proposed solution to determine compliance with relevant standards and constraints. Create relevant technical, planning and reporting documentation as required. Develop and execute engineering, qualification and acceptance tests on space electronic systems. Collaborate with other members of productsystem design and production teams. Liaison with hardware and software designers, technical management and 3rd party vendors. Provide proactive evaluation of schedules to manage programme technical risk. Ensure engineering activities are carried out within budget and suggest improvements. Manage and continually develop your personal knowledge and skill base. Provide regular reports to management with detailed reviews of project performance and risk. Contribute to daily weekly monthly Engineering team reviews. Minimum Education requirements Honours Degree in a relevant STEM subject or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above. Essential Skills and Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant Space Electronics Systems Engineering environment. Fluency in speaking, reading writing in the English language is mandatory.

Systems Engineer Optical Payload

The Systems Engineer will define requirements, architecture, design and verification for space systems in accordance with relevant European Space Agency flight standards. This will be completed in accordance with relevant Quality Management and industry Standards. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager with technical oversight provided by the Design Authority. The main duties and responsibilities will include Experience in space optical system design, image sensors and filters Experience in calibration, alignment testing for optical payloads Perform modelling, simulation and tradeoffs for the payloads Analysis of customer requirements and flow them into a compliant subsystem specifications Deliver technical documents and estimates for proposals and reviews on time. EndtoEnd Test Engineer

Position description Are you motivated by the opportunity to work for Galileo? Galileo is Europes own global satellite system and currently consists of a constellation of 22 satellites. It is capable of providing a highly accurate, guaranteed global positioning service under civilian control. The system is still under development and has recently entered the Exploitation Phase. These are exciting times for CGI and we are looking for an Experienced Test Engineer to join a team of engineers responsible for the Integration and Verification of the EndtoEnd Security Chains of the Galileo Navigation System. Your future role and responsibilities As a Test Engineer on our team, you will be working on a Mission Critical System that is part of the Galileo infrastructure. Your work will contribute to the security aspects and data protection of this navigation mission. Verification of the system requirements is the main task of your work, which includes writing, updating and running test procedures. The system is characterized by a high level of complexity. In addition, you will perform investigations of NonConformances by means of observing and reporting NCRs. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong interest in verifying requirements for a highly complex space system, in addition to having advanced analytic skills required for this position. We are seeking someone who is wellorganized, energetic and with a high level of attention to detail to join our team in The Netherlands, in Rotterdam. A Level B Screening by the Dutch NSA is part of the process. Your responsibilities will include Execution of integration and verification tests. Investigation of anomalies, reporting the results of the investigation and archiving all proof and logs required to reproduce the anomaly. Maintenance of Test Procedures, Requirements Traceability and Test Results Documents. Integration and maintenance of the Test Bench according to the requirements. The Test Bench includes both the system under test and the test tools. Integration of new elements into the Test Bench. System Integration Verification SIV support by preparation and validation of SIV. Operations training support by verifying that the requested scenario can be run on the Test Bench, and assistance during the execution of the scenario. ESA support by preparation of test data.
