Viscose prices have more slightly dropped than cotton and polyester prices in the past two weeks in China, having previously tumbled over a high level of excess inventories. Viscose yarn prices have been however lowered in the past days due to a lack of demand. Our weekly report covers the viscose/rayon staple fiber and filament markets over the last 12 months. Viscose spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan are also available. Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

Polyester chain prices have begun falling across the board in the last week in Asia, as PTA and PSF prices were eventually plunging on spot markets. Although margins have remained at high levels, operating rates could be lowered at PTA and polyester plants, as demand has sharply declined from downward textile producers expecting lower prices in the coming period. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
