Polyester staple fiber prices have risen at an even faster rate this week in China, with 1.4D PSF now reaching nearly 10,000 yuan per metric ton. Polyester filament and spun polyester prices have also surged across the board in the meantime. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) on the domestic markets in China, India, and Pakistan. Polyester chain prices continue rising in China, with prices for paraxylene, PTA, polyester chips, polyester filament yarns and polyester staple fibers all being up this week. Only MEG prices are marginally down. Tight supply within the PTA industry will likely continue to support prices at high levels.
