Polyester staple fiber prices have further risen in the last seven days in China and Pakistan, even surging in India after staying stable in August. With raw material costs of PSF and filament producers expected to remain very firm in the coming period, polyester fiber prices are not expected to fall and could even continue rising. Polyester chain prices have continued rising in the past week, with the paraxylene prices once more surging. September ACPs prices have been set at sharply higher levels by paraxylene producers and their leading customers of the PTA industry in Asia. Downward chip and fiber prices have been far from rising at the same pace than spot PTA and MEG prices.
