JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The SOE position includes the following responsibilities Support the SOM in the definition of requirements and in the validation, test and operation of the MCS, including the Mission Planning System. Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the European Space Operation Centre ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. The primary area of responsibility for this service is the JCSSentinel6 and Sentinel3 missions with possible extensions to support other Earth Observation missions. Qualifications and Experience For this position we are looking for engineers with the following background and skills Handson familiarity with operational tools MCS, Simulator, DB browser, MOIS or equivalent tools. Handson familiarity with SVT and flight procedures development. Ability to work in an organised manner, with good reporting skills and reliabley meeting deadlines.. Coordination skills with internal Flight Control Team, and external parties. Fluency in English, sproken and written. Familiarity with the ESOC environment. Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites, including basic mission analysis and payload observation scheduling aspects. Familiarity with the basic usage of orbit and environment analysis tools e.g. STK.
