Responsibilities Duties In general the key person will located at our customer EUMETSAT European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites. Heshe will work closely together with our customer EUMETSAT and contribute to the routine operations Definition and maintenance of missioncontrol operations procedures, including System and ground segment procedures and operations guides Liaison with the spacecraft operations team to ensure the continuity and optimisation of spacecraft monitoring and control activities Liaison with the operations analysts to ensure continuity and optimisation of databaserelated activities Interface with other facilities within the operational ground segments to ensure the continuity and optimisation of ground segment and mission monitoring and control activities Interface with external elements of the operational ground segments to ensure the continuity and optimisation of data exchanges with the mission control systems Interface with the mission control systems maintenance team and industry representatives to ensure optimised performance, including participating in the definition and implementation of any changes Provision of support to operational ground segment analyses Provision of standbyoncall support as part of a team of MCS engineers Provision of support, as required, to critical operations Processing of system anomalies, their documentation, investigation, classification and resolutionmitigation, including participation in Anomaly Review Boards Participation in further technical meetings, formal reviews, and scheduling and planning meetings. Heshe will also support to modifications of the operational systems Interface with project teams on the implementation of system upgrades to support major operations projects, including System MidTerm Evolution Plan, recurrent satellites, and any System hardware and operating system obsolescence upgrade Processing of system modifications, including their documentation, approval, and implementation, including participation in Change Review Boards Support to, and participation in, the functional verification and operational validation of mission control systems and related elements, both standalone and in the context of an overall ground segment. Heshe will also support the preparations for recurrent satellites and future satellite programs Provision of support to the development, system and ground segment verification and validation, and operations preparation for recurrent satellites in existing operational programmes, in particular MetopC Provision of support to the development, system and ground segment verification and validation, and operations preparation for future operational programmes such as Sentinel3, Sentinel6, MTG and EPSSG Heshe will support the operations teams Provision of training, through written materials, practical demonstrations and presentations, to other members of the Operations Team. Qualifications Experience Proven experience in operations preparation and routine operations of satellite and ground systems, preferably LowEarth Orbit systems Proven experience in the development, maintenance andor operations of satellite mission control systems Expericence in verification and validation testing of an operational ground segment would be an assest Essential Skills Knowledge of relevant CCSDS and ESA PUS standards, Knowledge of the SCOS2000 mission control systems and in particular databases and OBSW management, Excellent interpersonal skills, Proven ability to synthesise complex issues, Proven ability to plan and implement activities, prioritising according to constraints, interdependencies and opportunities, Excellent reporting skills, Experience in writing formal technical documentation, Fluent in English speaking and writing. Job description For our customer, ESAESTEC, we are seeking a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to provide temporary support on ISS robotics missions, in particular the European Robot Arm ERA project, at ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Responsibilities The post holder will report to the head of the Robotics and Future Projects office, in the Directorate of the Human Spaceflight and Operations. The scope of this post includes Operations engineering for the European Robotic Arm ERA project and other future projects such as technology demonstrations on the International Space Station ISS. Liaising with the European Astronauts Centre EAC in Cologne, Germany the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre GCTC and RSC Energia, Moscow, Russia, for instructor and crew training issues, including maintenance of the ERA Astronaut Training Database ATD.
