Mission Analysis Engineer Flight Dynamics

Moreover, we actively manage your professional development, training and career progression. This position is within the Flight Dynamics Operations Engineering service at ESOC. The primary areas of responsibility for this position is Mission Analysis, but the key person may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional service, missions and activities within the scope of general Flight Dynamics operations engineering services. The key person will be primarily assigned to a particular service but with the possibility of supporting other service andor missions. Services to be provided are primarily related to HERACLES. Services may also be requested related to other Lunar Missions or other tasks in the Flight Dynamics area. The general Mission Analysis activities to be supported by the service are depending on the phase of the mission Trajectory Optimisation focusing on the three body problem especially in the SunEarth and the EarthMoon three body system. Navigation and Guidance for Mission Analysis Concurrent Design Studies for space missions Mission Analysis Tools Development, environmental models, numerical integration techniques, local and global optimisation techniques and algorithms Mission Analysis for human spaceflight beyond the Earth orbit General Flight Dynamics operations engineering activities. Essential Requirements University degree in a relevant engineering field, astronomy, mathematics or physics Skills to apply their knowledge to develop solutions to technical mathematical and dynamical problems in cooperation with customers and other experts Ability to define, implement, validate and operate software which applies the above solutions using e.g. Unix andor Linux scripting languages, Fortran 77 andor 95, C Will to take operational responsibility in multidiscipline teams Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Ability to work independently Desirable Requirements Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarityexperience with Flight Dynamics operations engineering tasks Experience dealing with external interfaces Experience with OracleSolaris andor Linux, network services and protocols, and system administration The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously. To strengthen our activities in the Darmstadt office we are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer mfd to support the Heinrich Hertz Mission YOUR TASKS You will join a small and committed team and support operations preparation for the upcoming SCISYS mission, the German telecommunication mission Heinrich Hertz H2SAT, phases CDE. In this challenging role you will have the opportunity to contribute from the very beginning of the project lifecycle and become a member of the mission operations team for H2SAT. We are looking for a Mission Control Application Engineer Profile Mandatory skills Domain Skills Experience in the definition of Ground Segment system level requirements and production of system architectural design artefacts in the domain of the Mission Control Applications. Experience minimum 5 years in the definition of software requirements and architectural design and implementation of Spacecraft Monitoring Control applications. Summary An opportunity for an experienced engineer to provide support onsite at ESTEC for Telespazio VEGA in Earth Observation Mission Performance Analysis. Objective To provide expert support both in Mission Performance and with processes relevant to E2E Mission Performance Chain in the EOPPEP Office. Mission Planning Software Application Engineer

A fantastic opportunity to plan the operations of our inorbit suite of satellites, and to additionally support operations preparation for our planned missions. The Role We require two engineers with experience of Mission Planning gained through the operations or development of satellite systems. One post will focus on LowEarth Orbit, the other on geostationary satellites. You will manage Mission Planning for routine and special operations, and oversee and contribute to the lifecycle of evolutions as we track improvements and upgrades. You will have the opportunity to work with mission partners, such as ESA, CNES, NOAA and NASA to coordinate mission planning and implement crosssupport agreements. Working with other operations teams at EUMETSAT, you will enhance our understanding of the operational needs of all space and ground segments required for Mission Planning and help us to define and implement costeffective solutions. With experience of working with partner agencies, you will have managed small teams, possibly in a matrix environment. You can work with minimal supervision, with a capacity to work in a clear and structured fashion. We are looking for someone who is selfmotivated and can use their initiative, as appropriate.
