Junior Engineer, Ground Systems Luxembourg Betzdorf This project related position will primarily support the preparation of technical proposals in response to international tenders, and support the development, implementation, and improvement of ground based services and systems. Key activities include the collection of SES customer requirements, the engineering of communications systems, the preparation of technical studies, reports, specifications, contractual documentation and operational guidelines. You will be integrated within an international team of highly skilled engineers and will gradually take more responsibilities. Depending on the projects nature and scope, you will be either in charge or acting in support of the bellow listed tasks. Primary Responsibilities Key Result Areas Support the delivery of projects and services to customers within the agreed budget, specification and schedule, meaningDesign, specify and implement Satellite Control Systems RF TTC systems including the tracking antennas Baseband and control room systems Satellite ranging systems Design, specify, and implement fixed, transportable or mobile uplink or receiveonly stations Design subsystems and implement earth station equipment including antennas, HPAs, switch matrix, updownconverters, modulators and interfacility equipment Design, specify and manage the integration of measurement, communications and monitoring and control systems including IOT and MC Systems Perform transmission analysis, in particular link budget calculations, and studies in support of business development and customer services Design innovative satellite networks andor network elements concepts and develop associated specifications Interface customer and support SES Global Government proposal activities through the provision of technical system specifications, cost estimations and contractual documents, in response to customer requests for information RFI customer requests for proposals RFPs, in coordination with other engineers, internal and external parties Coordinate with other functions Project Control, Legal, Finance for the transparent and effective realization of assigned projects In coordination with the Service Management team, ensure the second Level Customer Support for the delivered system Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
