Senior Manager, Strategic Business Innovation Luxembourg Betzdorf USA Washington Context Located in Betzdorf and supporting the VP, Strategic Business Innovation, you will play a major role in support of the main team mission to innovate SES, through execution of initiatives to attain strategic objectives as well as identification and pursue of opportunities for innovation to extend SES future business scope. Primary responsibilities Develop and execute complex crossfunctional projects and precommercial opportunities, originated from the strategic plan, inclusive of the strategic business innovation plan, or from specific requests by other departments or affiliates in the frame of the execution of their strategic implementation or gotomarket activities in all four market verticals. Without being exclusive, focus of the incumbent shall be in the area of Government and Institutional business. Scouting of new business ideasfields to identify new business ideasfields potentially relevant for SES strategic consideration andor future revenue generation. Make recommendations for inclusion in future strategic plans. Develop and execute new business ideas at the fringe of SES strategy, with the objective of integrating them within SES strategic scope and turning them into reality. Contributor for guaranteeing the relevance and alignment of SBI activity list vs SES strategy and management expectations, by participating in regular exchanges within the rest of the SES organisation On request, provide specific business expertise to any project within SES, e.g. partnership building, governmental lobbying, identification of investors, etc. with the goal to maximize chances of success of a specific project Competencies and behaviours Strong Teamwork and Project leadership with ability to manage complex processes in autonomy and with the big picture in mind Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to synthesize and simplify complex business issues. We have a vacancy for a person wishing to join the Product Assurance Safety Team as a Product Assurance Safety Manager MF PASMPAS201710HQ001 The successful candidate will be based in Zaventem, Brussels area. Tasks and Responsibilities Implementing and updating the Company PAS Product Assurance Safety policy, manuals and procedures in compliance with the Companys Quality Management System QMS. Reviewing customer and supplier documentation for compliance with the Company PAS policy and QMS. Establishing the PAS requirements baseline and relevant documentation for assigned projects. Preparing Safety Analyses, Flight Safety Data Packages, Maintenance Safety Assessments, and Hazard Reports in accordance with SSP 30599, SSP 51700 and SSP 50021 ISS Standards. Monitoring and controlling PCB, harness, connectors, mechanical systems and assessing the implementation of the PAS programme for designated flight hardware software projects including NCRs SPRs. Coordinating the PAS activities assigned to the various PAS engineers, including the required PA documentation such as Flight Safety Certificates, Test Reports, Analyses, Certificates of Compliance, closeout of the safety verifications identified in Hazard Reports, etc. Guiding and monitoring the application and procurement of EEE parts, materials and processes and controlling implementation of applicable requirements. Participating in progress meetings, Change Control Board meetings and project reviews at all levels. Supporting Company Risk Management activities as in the laboratory and cleanroom including the storage, the handling and the transportation of equipment. Qualifications and Experience A Masters Degree in an engineering or scientific subject. A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position. Proven experience with o The ISS environment for scientific payloads and space flight hardware development. o The ECSS standards, in particular the ECSSQ series. o The Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to EN9100 is a strong asset. o Working in laboratory and cleanroom environment. Candidates will have the following skills Ability to cope with schedules and deadlines. Ability to synthesise, summarise and draw conclusions. Excellent organization and communication skills.
