Now you can as we have a new opportunity for a Bid Manager to take responsibility for creating winning proposals with deliverable solutions. In this role you will manage and coordinate the bid process to produce proposals including Understanding and complying with the customers proposal timescale, submission and content requirements, working with Sales to understand the wider context of the customers request and potential competition Working in partnership with the Sales team to define the proposalwinning strategy and to ensure the awareness and buyin of these by management and the proposal team Manage the required proposal gate reviews Working in partnership with Applications Engineers to understand customer requirements and Statement of Work and generate a proposal that matches the customers expectations with e2vs resource and capabilities Working with and consulting all appropriate teams and support functions to produce an agreed deliverable solution which meets the customers business and cost objectives whilst maximising value for e2v Assessing and quantifying risk through the prescribed risk management process and reviews, minimising risk to both e2v and the customer Demonstrating compliance and rigour in following the agreed internal e2v bid processes including bid planning, resource manager work package owner agreement, project scheduling, cost profiling and cashflow management, procurement planning, risk management and bid review documents Producing a robust proposal which facilitates both local and global management decisionmaking, understanding and relating how the opportunity supports the execution of e2vs strategy Pair with the Sales team in the negotiation strategy including pricing, alternative options and acceptable terms and conditions, whilst delivering a consistent sales message throughout the customers experience Maintain the historical record of proposals via the proposal database Manage postaward debriefing process with the appointed Project manager and Technical Authority From a strategic and Business Development perspective, the role includes Understanding market trends and identifying future customer needs and applications Understanding e2vs future resource and capability potential to support bid activity in new markets or applications Contributing and participating in Space Imagings strategic planning process and execution Delivering successful bids to maximise resource utilisation and support the business pipeline To continually improve the quality of bid activity and thereby raise the reputation of the organisation. The successful applicant will join the Satellite Sales support and Innovation team in the Marketing and Sales directorate. Reporting directly to the Head of Space Systems Regulatory Affairs, you will be in charge of defining and promoting the companys regulatory interests in telecommunication as well as Earth observation, Navigation and Science satellite arenas, in particular in the context of WRC World Radio communication ConferenceITU negotiation cycles. Depending on your profileexpectations, you might be involved with supporting satellite coordination sales. A vacancy for a Mechanical Structure Engineering Manager mf has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site. The successful candidate will join the TLS Sub Assembly Product department. As Head of Engineering within the Mechanical and Structural Engineering department, you will be in charge of performance financial and programme as well as development, from the design up to the production of mechanical structures. You will ensure relations with the project, and will supervise the design and industrial monitoring team. You will work with the following technologies SiC structures, CFRP and GFRP composite structures and metal structures. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Technically summarising the mechanics of the developed hardware Defining the work plan for the detailed definition and acceptance activities designanalysistesting Leading the design and industrial monitoring team from 3 to 5 people per product Managing the costs and lead time for the department services Performing industrial monitoring of the developed mechanical hardware Interfacing with the project group and ensuring the reporting Participating in responses to calls for tender and ensuring the interface with the agencies for the development of new technologies. This role will require travel in Europe during the industrial monitoring phases several days approximately 4 times per year. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience Qualified engineer or university equivalent 5year degree in the field of mechanical engineering At least 5 years of experience in mechanical analysis andor in a mechanical engineering Design Office Proficiency in mechanical constraints connected with the space environment or equivalent and sizing rules for structures, especially SiC structures Strong technical skills in the mechanical and thermal engineering profession, ideally in the field of ceramics Proficiency in design aid tools risk analysis, value engineering, functional analysis, engineering and development plan definition Proficiency in the technological processes for the materials used in products developed by the Design Office and industrial design rules Experience in production, AIT or production monitoring is desirable Ideally, initial experience in managingcoordinating technical teams Synthesis and decisionmaking skills Ability to integrate within a team and adapt Meticulous nature, the ability to take initiative, and a responsive and autonomous approach Good interpersonal and communication skills writtenoral Negotiation level of English, proficiency in French would be an asset.
