The Position The Telespazio Deutschland GmbH Legal Affairs Department supports the business goals by providing high quality and efficient legal and contractual guidance to promote compliance, reduce risk and liability and optimise contract conditions. We are searching for a fulltime 40hrsweek ambitious Contract Manager looking for a professional environment that values success and provides diverse development opportunities. You will report directly to our Head of Legal Affairs and will collaborate with management teams and stakeholder teams across the business. This position is based at our Headquarter in Darmstadt. It is fulltime and permanent and expected starting date will be around January 2021. We are looking forward to meeting you! ResponsibilitiesDuties You will be responsible for legal and contractual inputs throughout the lifecycle of a project, starting from proposal preparation to contract closure. You will review and analyse incoming contracts orders and you will draft contractual documents such as NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Subcontracts and other contractual documentation. You will contribute to the legal and contractual part of our proposals to customers. You will be involved in the legal aspects of product development. You will be part of the Export Control and Trade Compliance organization and support the Export Control Representative in managing the program. You will be responsible for the management and administration of contractual documentation. Technical Sales Bid Manager

Astroscale is seeking to employ a motivated Technical Sales and Bid Manager at our UK office based in the Harwell Space Cluster. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a dynamic company seeking to make a positive contribution to the growing problem of orbital debris that endangers humanitys continued use of space. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Future Business Europe within the Business Development Sales team and support in the production of highquality bids and technical sales for Astroscale UK. Astroscales work environment is fastpaced and dynamic, with plenty of opportunities to learn and contribute. This role would suit someone with existing commercial BDS experience of space programmes, who wants to work for a global startup at the forefront of space sustainability and active debris removal services. Responsibilities Take responsibility for planning for and coordinating bids, or parts of bids as required, through the bid process from call opening all the way to bid submission, managing the bid, to quality, time and cost. Work on small bids independently within the candidates technical area of expertise or seek support from technical specialists within Astroscale in supporting more technically complex bids as needed. Draw on other relevant teams in Astroscale as needed for larger bids, including projects, engineering, procurement contractual, finance, business analysis teams. Conduct bidno bid reviews and later stage bid reviews e.g. gold red team as appropriate. Support continuous improvement of bid process and best practice. Support management of the sales pipeline. Keep track of bid opportunities including sources such as ESA, EU, UKSA and make propositions as to what future projects fit which opportunities. Maintain a database of future projects suitable for different bid types and opportunities, and work with the business team to support prioritisation of projects and RD, feeding into service and capability strategy. Support the Head of Future Business in other day to day business activities as needed, including customer partner engagement, providing inputs into business strategy documents. Essential Skills 3 5 years experience working on BD sales in a commercial space environment. Experience of working on bids of various different sizes, from 1 to 2 pager propositions for expressions of interest, to small RD bids, to larger mission service proposals of hundreds of pages. A good grasp of all core domains commonly seen in bids technical, commercial, financial, implementation, management, contractual, risk. An excellent sales marketing style in bid production which can be used to convey the selling points of the business, An ability to understand win strategy themes, enabling construction of competitive but deliverable bids. A minimum of 3 years direct experience of and successful track record in the UKSA Innovate and ESA ecosystems and bidding into UKSA Innovate and ESA calls on space projects. Experience of the project lifecycle, engineering lifecycle and key engineering gates, RD innovation and technology maturation. Passionate about space with knowledge of the space environment and space debris. Desired Skills Postgraduate degree in engineering or similar discipline. Strong understanding of the space industry and ecosystem. A technical understanding of a single space domain or broad understanding across multiple technical domains would be an asset. Strong commercial awareness. Some experience or knowledge in the following areas would be an asset debris removal, inorbit servicing, mission systems architectures, robotics, guidance, navigation control, AI, SSA. Any past relevant training or certifications e.g. Shipley, Prince2, APMP. Location Astroscale UK Harwell, with occasional opportunities for travelling.
