000 ABPZ20 KNHC 211738 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Fri Aug 21 2020 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Genevieve, located a couple of hundred miles west of Cabo San Lazaro, Mexico. An elongated area of low pressure located several hundred miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing a large area of disorganized cloudiness and thunderstorms. Conditions appear favorable for some gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form during the early to middle part of next week while it moves little. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent. Another area of low pressure is likely to form south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec early next week. 000 ABNT20 KNHC 211738 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 PM EDT Fri Aug 21 2020 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently upgraded Tropical Storm Laura, which is approaching the northern Leeward Islands, and on Tropical Depression Fourteen, located over the northwestern Caribbean Sea. An area of disorganized cloudiness and showers located between the west coast of Africa and the Cabo Verde Islands is associated with a broad area of low pressure and tropical wave. This disturbance is expected to move westward at 15 to 20 mph across the Cabo Verde Islands during the next 24 hours. Conditions are forecast to be only marginally conducive for some development over the next couple of days. After that time, environmental conditions are expected to become less favorable for development. Regardless of development this system will likely bring gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall across portions of the Cabo Verde Islands this weekend. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent. $$ Forecaster Brown

000 ABNT20 KNHC 211145 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 800 AM EDT Fri Aug 21 2020 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Thirteen, located a couple of hundred miles east of the northern Leeward Islands, and on Tropical Depression Fourteen, located just offshore the northeastern coast of Honduras. A tropical wave located just off of the west coast of Africa is producing a large area of disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms. This wave is expected to move farther offshore over the far eastern tropical Atlantic today. Conditions are expected to be conducive for some development over the next few days, and the system could become a tropical depression before environmental conditions become less favorable for development early next week.
