Cotton yarn prices have begun slightly dropping in China over a fall of cotton prices after they have previously rebounded. Prices could stabilize at higher levels than three weeks ago, nevertheless. Viscose fiber and yarn prices are now more clearly bottoming out. Although New York's nearby contract has further surged in the last week, there are signs that limits may have been reached. Cotton futures have already plummeted in China after cotton officials have made announcements for stopping any panic buying. Cotton prices have however continued surging in India, due to strong international demand for domestic fibers and yarns.
