Cotton fiber prices have further surged in the last seven days in India where spinners have not been able to raise their yarn prices, with margins again falling at spinning mills, as a result. Cotton yarn export prices have even been lowered, due to slowing down demand from China. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.

Cotton prices have surged in India and Pakistan in the past week, whereas sharply rebounding in New York after the US Department of Agriculture has retroactively lowered its stock estimates of the past years with the projection for the decisive stocks-to-use ratio therefore plunging in the next season. China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn prices are very slightly declining on the domestic market in China in line with weaker seasonal trends in the summer. Cotton yarn import prices have been significantly lowered in order to take into account the fall of the renminbi. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. All data are available for download.
