Are you interested to work on a Solar and Planetary Mission? Thorn Satellite Data Services is a service provider in the space sector in particular for the two Space Agencies in Darmstadt. We are recruiting for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to join our team at ESAESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. The successful candidate will be assigned to one particular Solar and Planetary mission but will also support other missions. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Spacecraft Operation Engineer to work on the project, ExoMars Rover and Surface Platform. You will undertake tasks in the areas of Guidance, Navigation Control, Propulsion subsystems and Payload, and support the test and validation of the Ground Segment System. You must be able to work independently but also the ability to coordinate with other service providers in operations. Experience with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 and ground station control processes and setups would be advantageous. Knowledge and experience with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat, flight operations or spacecraft operations, MOIS and Ground station scheduling processes would be also an advantage.
