System Engineering Operations Product Sales

RHEA is currently recruiting a dynamic product sales lead to drive the sales of two RHEA products services and tools in particular to new users with existing customers as well as new customers. The Manufacturing and Operations information System MOIS is the industry leading suite of integrated tools for Spacecraft and Ground Segment testing, Operations Preparation and Satellite Assembly, Integration and Test. Concurrent Design and Engineering is a systematic approach to integrated product design that emphasises the response to customer expectations and the combination of creativity and engineering. It embodies team values of cooperation, trust and sharing, in such a manner that decision making is by consensus, involving all perspectives in parallel, from the beginning of the project lifecycle. RHEA provides Concurrent Design and Engineering Services to its customers supported by a RHEA proprietary tool, the Concurrent Design Platform CDPTM and provides support to ESA and users for the Open Concurrent Design Tool OCDT. The role can be fulfilled from one of RHEAs offices in the Netherlands or Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Review, update and execution of the product business plan Maintain productrelated leads and contacts, with support of technical experts Become knowledgeable and learn to use and demonstrate the products Interact with the product technical experts, provide customer feedback Preparing standard proposals in response to customer requests Work with business development team on larger opportunities Identify new business areas for the products and prepare capture plan Travel to visit customers and potential customers Coordinate with marketing to ensure the product website and social media are uptodate and active Support as needed the MOIS and the CDE Business Unit Managers Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Proven business development and sales experience Experience in bid preparation and tender analysis for ESA tenders experience in bid preparation for other organisations e.g. EC, EUMETSAT, NATO, EDA is a plus At least 5 years experience of space system engineering, electrical system test andor spacecraft operations University degree in engineering or equivalent qualification Excellent interpersonal skills Good organisational skills Excellent presentation skills Enthusiasm and the determination to succeed Fluent written and spoken English The following skills would be highly desirable Fluency in other major languages e.g. French, German, Italian, Spanish Knowledge of Software Engineering technologies, tools and processes How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level? Mandatory skills University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline An extensive theoretical knowledge of Level 1 data processing algorithms for Image Navigation and Registration, and geometric correction Handson experience in the design and implementation of estimation filters e.g. Kalman or Leastsquare filters, preferably in an Image Navigation and Registration application context A sound experience in the specification, prototyping, implementation, verification and validation of complex, realtime Level 1 data processing systems for imaging andor sounding instruments on remote sensing spacecraft A thorough understanding of the interaction between instrumentplatform characteristics and processing impact, including product quality Experience in the development of INR processing systems preferable for large multiinstrument operational space programmes The ability to work effectively in small teams autonomously without close supervision to tight deadlines under changing conditions analyse complex problems, distinguishing between critical and less critical information, and to synthesise and clearly present the results of such analyses Handson expertise in at least one coding language, preferable CC, and with a tool to support of algorithm software development and rapid prototyping, e.g. MATLAB, IDL, Python Able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner and to to work calmly and correctly under stress and with the minimum of supervision Fluency in English with good communication skills EU national or valid work permit for Germany CV in Europass editable format Advantageous skills and experience Some familiarity with UNIXLINUX systems Knowledge of imaging andor sounding instrumentation for remote sensing spacecraft.
