Senior Manager, Business Development TheSenior Manager, Business Development will be reporting to the Director, Business Development to support capturing new work by serving as the main customer interface for select international accounts. The candidate will be responsible for select international accounts and will be required to understand the different customer organizations build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the customer organization at both the management and technical level coordinate all MDA interactions with the customer deliver MDA capabilities, culture and heritage to customers and partners at meetings, conferences, workshops, trade shows and customer sites monitor customer budgets, past, current and future programs and upcoming RFPs identify key customer issues, winning strategies and recommended target prices interact with in country Canadian Government organizations Canadian Embassy, EDC The candidate will participate in the creation of market and account strategies development of marketing material maintaining of Business Development customer and opportunity database presentation of well articulated account plans and pursuit plans to the MDA senior management team The candidate must have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and a customer driven focus and able to operate in uncertain and changing business environments. Flexible and able to travel. An engineering degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the space field and preferably in emerging markets. Systems and payload engineering technical knowledge is an asset. An MBA or courses in strategy, marketing or international business would be a plus.

One of our clients in the UK is looking for a Senior Project Manager. It is a permanent role. Key Tasks Project Management Daytoday management of the project core team activities to ensure the entire project is progressing in line with the baseline plan. Communication with customers and internal stakeholders, including Heads of Business, Head of Projects, Engineering Team Leaders and Department Managers, Project Accounting and Commercial teams. Management of the major project reviews, identifying clear objectives, inputs, outputs and success criteria. Management of the project key risks to ensure that risks are identified, captured and mitigation actions in place. Monitoring and control of the project finances contingency, cost to complete, profit take to ensure the project is delivered within the agreed budget. Monitoring and control of all project work packages to ensure they are delivered on time and to cost, and to identify early deviations from the agreed baseline plan. Your Role Degree or equivalent in an engineering or technical subject would be preferable. Proven experience in project management specifically in setting up, running and successfully delivering projects, ideally in a satellite or engineeringaerospace industry. Good experience of implementing contracts. Familiarity with work package systems and matrix management structure preferable. Proven experience in project management in an engineeringaerospace industry. Excellent interpersonal skills able to influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people effectively. Understand contracts and product assurance plans. Ability to cope under pressure and ensure deadlines are met. Strong attention to detail. Good organisation skills. Good presentation and customer facing skills. Highly results orientated strong drive to deliver. Proficient in all MS Office packages and knowledge of Microsoft Project.
