This includes handson experience with SMOS L1 and L2 data processing and a good knowledge of the corresponding application areas. Knowledge of and experience with the STSE programme. Good level of autonomy and organizing skills are desired. Technical skills shall include programming and a good knowledge of relevant software packages. Good communication and analytical skills to interface with colleagues within ESA and with external partners and industry are essential. The candidate must be able to work in English and both autonomously and as a part of a team. All applicants must be legally allowed to work in the Netherlands. ie. already have a European passport. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 29 annual days holiday.
