Thor 7 satellite arrives in French Guiana

Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc) has announced that its THOR 7 satellite has arrived safely at the Guiana Spaceport in Kourou. THOR 7 is now set to start its final preparations before its launch by Arianespace, scheduled for mid-April 2015.

To reinforce its Products Services Development team, SES Techcom is looking for a Product Manager The Product Manager is responsible for IP and Satellite Communications products and their life cycle. At the epicenter between Markets, Sales and Technology heshe is defining the value proposition and managing products that address market demand in the B2B2C Consumer, B2B EnterpriseTelcos and Institutional eeducation, emedicine, egovernment segments. Responsibilities Productisation and gotomarket of existing SBBS communication solutions so that they can be commercialized on a global geographic scope. Establishment of new products and services including the idea generation, value proposition, concept development and market testing in close coordination with the internal technology teams and external partners. Establishment and followthrough of product business cases. Drive internal and external product development priorities. Manage product features and development roadmap of existing SBBS product portfolio covering the full ecosystem and life cycle of the product. Ensure that existing IP broadband products and services follow market demand and continue to match customer expectations. Promote awareness and create demand for relevant products through customer visits, speaker opportunities, product demos etc. at events, conferences and other suitable occasions. Lead teams across business internally and externally incl. customers and market partners. Support relations with national and international research and supporting organizations such as the European Space Agency ESA Be accountable for the market success of the product service. Experience Qualifications Product Management Expert at least 5 years of professional industry relevant experience Solid and uptodate knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry with proven track record in defining and successfully taking products to the market. BachelorMaster degree ideally with MBA Indepth understanding of productproject related financing Result driven, able to coordinate internal and external partners. Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills. Drive, engagement and creative thinking to bring new concepts to the front. Able to produce meaningful market assessments and recommendations. Fluency in English, German and French are considered as additional assets.
