Support the definition of Ground Segment requirements in the area of the Flight Dynamics System. Participation in workshops and review meetings. Support the identification of the verification method and initial test cases for the Flight Dynamics System requirements. Incorporate the reuse of the EUMETSAT Flight Dynamics System kernel products in the Ground Segment requirements. Interfacing with the Flight Dynamics System kernel product experts in the MCA Team to coordinate their contributions to the requirements definition. System Architectural design Support the generation of the architectural system level design of the Flight Dynamics System as part of the Ground Segment. Support the production of design models using Systems Engineering and CASE tools. Support the definition and documentation of all interfaces IRDsICDs between the elements of the Flight Dynamics System and other Ground Segment or external elements Incorporate the reuse of the EUMETSAT Flight Dynamics System kernel products in the Ground Segment design. Support to new Missions PhaseCD activities Support to Flight Dynamics System implementation Support to the requirement and design engineering activities as part of the applications development. Participation and contribution in requirements, design and implementation reviews both internal and with external contractors. Follow the software development by external contractors of the Flight Dynamics System. Support to IVV and Acceptance Participation in verification readiness reviews and verification testing campaigns both internal and with external contractors. Maintenance and Evolution Activities Reengineering activities analysis of the porting of some subsystems to stateoftheart technologies, tradeoff studies of various technologies, software design of the technical solutions, following the procurement of the changes with external contractors and verification testing of the changes. Evolutions and changes generation andor analysis of userdriven and maintenancedriven software requirements, software design of the technical solutions, following the procurement of the changes with external contractors and verification testing of the changes. Preventive and corrective maintenance including the investigation and correction or following the corrections implemented by external contractors of anomalies in the software facilities and verification testing of the fixes. Maintenance test procedures generation and updates of maintenance test procedures at software facility level and at system level. Support and development of the verification infrastructure development andor procurement of scripts tools to perform installation checks, nonregression, functional and performance testing. Analysis and implementation of mechanisms or tools allowing the automatic or semiautomatic verification testing of the application software. Coordination of the production of new software releases or patches, delivery acceptance and installation onsite. This activity includes the technical coordination of the production by an external contractor of new releases or patches of the application software, liaison with the EUMETSAT operational users, participation to technical reviews, participation to infactory at contractor premises acceptance testing campaigns and coordination of the installation of the releases or patches onsite at EUMETSAT. Execution and coordination of software verification and nonregression testing campaigns. This activity includes preparation of test data, running the test procedures on the target system, generation of test reports, analysis of results and troubleshooting of problems. Software support software support to the endusers of the application software. Ensure operations continuity by provision of oncall services and software support to operations. Documentation generation and updates of technical documents. Technical point of contact for maintenance contractors acting as point of contact with the contractor for technical discussions, review of technical documentation from the contractor, organizing periodical technical meetings with the contractor. Support to Reference Architecture definition and maintenance Participation to the definition and maintenance of the EUMETSAT TSS reference architecture for the Flight Dynamics System part of the Ground Segment. This includes user and system requirement analysis, software requirement engineering, software design, implementation, corrective and evolutive maintenance activities. Experience minimum 3 years in IVV integration, verification and validation activities for Flight Dynamics Systems following formal engineering processes. This includes requirement verification, system and subsystem integration, generation of test plan and test procedures, nonregression testing, generation of test data, generation of test tools, running the test procedures on the target system, generation of test reports and anomaly tracking. The consultant will be a member of the Atmospheric Profiling Team within RSP. For one of our main customers, EUMETSAT, we are currently looking for an Image Quality Assessment Engineering consultancy support. The candidate shall offer consultancy support to the technical and scientific activities conducted by the Image Navigation, Registration and Calibration INRC Competence Area of the Remote Sensing and Products Division RSP within the Technical and Scientific Support Department. The main activities for the INRC Competence Area are related to image navigationgeolocation, rectification, onboard, vicarious and crosscalibration. The Key person shall work as a member of the Image Quality Assessment Team of INRC supporting the mediumterm and longterm monitoring, operation and further development of Level 1 data processing systems. The Key person shall support the quality assessment and validation of the Level 1 image products for current and future GEO missions but will also provide support to current and future LEO missions in this area. Moreover, heshe shall support the development and maintenance of monitoring software for Level 1 image quality assessment as well as support the software maintenance of the operational MSG Level 1 data processing systems. This includes a significant contribution to and active participation in verification and validation test activities. In addition, the Key person may also support the development activities for the MTG and EPS SG missions. The activity is assumed, as a baseline, to require the fulltime participation of a Key person for the duration of the contract. The tasks of the Key person will be carried out mainly at EUMETSAT facilities in Darmstadt, but travel within Europe may be required for certain activities. Experience and education In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Key person shall have Good theoretical knowledge of satellite imagery data processing algorithms for navigation, registration and calibration and the techniques used for assessing the geometric and radiometric quality of Level 1 image products A minimum of 3 years experience in the processing and analysis of data from imaging andor sounding instruments on remote sensing spacecraft Significant experience of validating remote sensing products and complex remote sensing data processing systems. The Key person shall be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, shall be able to work calmly and correctly under stress and must be able to work with the minimum of supervision. Fluency in English is mandatory and a working knowledge of French would be an advantage, together with good communication skills. In addition, the Key person shall have practical, demonstrable experience inwith Software engineering, in particular in algorithm software development, in a Unix environment using CC, and ideally also Python and MatlabIDL Implementation of scientific algorithms from a given specification.
